Emma (519 KP) rated The Deceit in Books

I chose this book because of its links to Egypt, my brother is an Egyptologist so it tweaked my interest.
I quite enjoyed the back and forth of the story from Egypt to England and vice versa. And I enjoyed the writing style, I found it quite Dan Brownesq.
All in all a good book, and a good story, which is quite exciting at times.
My only criticism would be that he seems to go off track sometimes .

Driving is still a little buggy
Zombie spawns
Much the same but better
I loved the first game and picked this one up almost as soon as it came out, I wasn't disappointed, however my attention began to shift as the repetitive missions and buggy spawning and driving bothered me. Then the daybreak dlc came out and I found myself switching between the game modes often, definitely better with friends.

The first book club read of the year, did I enjoy it yes and no, it started very well but dragged on too long, chapter 30 was where I would gave ended it.
It did give you a look at the 10 year old mind and how they see the world, which I found interesting and what a psychiatrist would make of the end I would love to know.
All together an interesting if not drawn out read.

This seems to be a real love it or hate it film going by other reviews! Personally I quite enjoyed it and found it a good mix of action and comedy, with a cool car to boot! I do like Seth Rogen's other films and find him funny. There is plenty of fun to be had here along with some cool effects. You'll like it so long as you realise it's more of a comedy than an action film.

I am a former emergency medical technician, so when I heard an ad for the creation of the modern ambulance service and paramedics, I had to listen to it. I found the topic fascinating and enjoyed the way the material was written. The content was presented with dialogue and suspense that brought the story to life. I scanned the list of episode topics and will definitely be listening to more of them soon.
J Elizabeth Klug (21 KP) rated Harry Potter: A Journey Through Charms and Defence Against the Dark Arts in Books
Dec 14, 2019
A short non-fiction ebook that draws comparisons from the magic written by J.K. Rowling in the Harry Potter series to the historical myths and folklore from which it's based. Invisiability, transforming into a creature, and warding off evil are just a few of the topics you'll find in this book.
I found this to be a fascinating read and would recommend it to any fans of Harry Potter who are interested in Mythology and Folklore.

good fun for non tots
i will admit i truly enjoyed the movie i laughed i felt rushes of action and adventure there was so much going on and i loved it but i personally didnt like the profanity of the movie all together too much profanity for a family movie and too much sexual comments which i found hilarious myself but not for a family
Shell Wright (34 KP) rated My Sister, the Serial Killer in Books

I had great hope's for this book, due to reviews I had read before picking it up. A bit disappointing, if I'm honest. It did read like a story but without any emotion. It was predictable which was quite off-putting. I read reviews of humour, but I found none. Written in short chapters so very quickly and easily read. I did read it all though, so there is that. I probably wouldn't recommend.

Back to my childhood happy memories I shouldn't admit to liking rainbow but it was part of your childhood thru the 70s and 80s and you're favourite character on the show was zippy still don't what he was meant to be actually. years later I found out the voice of zippy and George the pink hippo also voiced the daleks in doctor who. anyway good for nostalgia

Classic Who Done it with a twist
Have watched it twice now, once at the cinema and another at home through Amazon. Enjoyed both times, the plot does twist and turn but you might be able to guess who it is. Sorry but this should have given Daniel Craig a different accent as it was rather bad. Son who is a big Marvel fan found it strange watching Chris Evan play a different type of character.
