It's so cheesy good (1 more)
The transformation was so bad I laughed till I cried
So bad but screw it I liked it.
Okay Sssssss(7 s') is a totally scrappy B-horror movie that I've only met like 5 people who've seen it, two of which are my parents. It follows the story of a mad scientist who is obsessed with snakes and kind of just spirals out of control from there.
The acting is hilariously bad but I found myself getting really into the movie and the characters.

Domonique (0 KP) rated Library of Souls: The Third Novel of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children in Books
May 12, 2018
This was such a good conclusion to the story of Miss Peregrine and her peculiar children. I was so hoping that Jacob and Emma would get a chance to be together without the hollows and the threat of the whites and just to be normal kids, so to speak, and I'm glad that's what happened in the end. I hope that Jacob's parents come around and finally realize how special their son is and I'm glad the children and Miss Peregrine found a way to live outside a loop and experience real life.

Words With Friends
I love this game. It is easy to download and easy to play. You can start a game and it stays in play until there is a winner, even if it takes weeks for you to complete play. There is a great nudge feature to remind your friend of the game and you can play several games with different people at the same time. Highly recommend.

Jessica Erdas (463 KP) rated A Dog's Purpose in Books
May 16, 2018
I had heard a little about this book before I saw that it was being made into a movie. The concept seemed cute and was definitely a good read. I was not prepared for the amount of sadness that I would have while reading and every time Cameron described the aging of the dogs, I found myself petting mine and holding her closer. Well written and easily embraces the view point of a dog from beginning to end and back again. I think all dog lovers should read this but have a tissue handy.

Jessica Cashen (1 KP) rated Dogs in Origami: 30 Breeds from Terriers to Hounds in Books
May 16, 2018
If you like dogs you will like this book. This book has detailed instructions on each fold needed to make each of the 30 dogs in this book. I tried my hand at a few and was able to it.....but mine were not as beautiful as the ones in the book. I have always been curious about origami, this is my first time trying it though. Overall I enjoyed this book and I think I found a new hobby. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from Netgalley.

I have always found the concept of HAC (human animal conflict) highly intriguing. The idea that one day the animals will take back the planet? I find this not only completely believable, but entirely possible. The reason given for the HAC in this book (I won't spoil it) is also completely believable, AND entirely possible, in my opinion. I was riveted from start to finish. This may be one of my favorite recent James Patterson books. The story was well told, engaging, and when you really think about it, kind of terrifying.

Ruth Frampton (577 KP) rated Caillou Loves His Mommy in Books
Apr 10, 2018
This book is bright and colourful and the illustrations are really attractive to a younger reader. Caillou wants his Mommy’s attention and tries several different ways until the game of hide and seek begins. Many of the actions will be familiar to any youngster allowing them to empathise with the character of Caillou. My 4 1/2 year old advanced reader read this to me without issue and found it a “brilliant book because there are just the right number of words in it. I really liked the song from Mommy”.

Unputdownable!!
I read this in one sitting: I was a captive audience, stuck on a train for a 6 hour journey. Honestly though, I would have found it very hard to drag myself away from it if I'd read it at home as well. It's such a rollercoaster of a story and i wouldn't be at all surprised if it's optioned for a movie (is it yet?). It's probably mainly about 'the road not taken', and how we make life choices that we then feel stuck with. But what a way to do it!

Love, love, love, love, love Amazon!
If we could do all of our shopping with Amazon we would. The app is so easy to use. And items can be bought and paid for at the slide of a button. Great bargains to be found. The only thing they don't sell are meat/fish and vegetables/fruit. If they started doing that they'd take over the world! You can find pretty much anything. A fantastic app that's never crashed.
