My friend pushed me for months to watch this series! and by god was she right! It really brings the original series into the future.... the story of Sabrina and her family and friends, but in a way and world we can relate to now.... I'm still hung up over the season 1 cliff hanger and am on the edge of my seat to see what our little Brina does next.... like does she atually hang with the people who tormented her from the start? and does she ever get back together with Harvey?
again, I aim to remind everyone that these are MY opinions, which i am entitled to, you do no have to agree...

David McK (3600 KP) rated Blade Runner 2049 (2017) in Movies
Nov 7, 2019
I'm writing this in November 2019.
The setting for the original 1982 Blade Runner movie.
The future L.A. of that movie is nothing like the 'current' L.A.
Released over 30 years later to a film that, at the time, was considered a commercial flop (but later gained a cult following), this sequel is visually sumptuous but also rather, shall we say, slow.
This follows a new strain of Blade Runner/bioengineered replicant called Agent K (Ryan Gosling), who stumbles upon a clue to an old case while carrying out a mission: a clue that, eventually, leads him to Rick Deckard (a returning Harrison Ford) and that threatens to unravel the fabric of the society in which he lives.

More of the same (timey wimey)
The second book in this trilogy is largely a retelling of the first book. Nick sees some mysterious people, who turn out to be from the future, there is a lot of talk about time travel and parallel universes and there is a heist sequence at the end.
This book was a lot heavier on the pseudo-science and that got a little tiring and head-scratchy at times, with all the talk of paradoxes and whatnot.
This was an enjoyable read, but as with anything time travel related too much creativity and inventiveness can only lead to stretches in plausibility and lengthy justifications for the "science".

Ancient one
Nicolas parsons
Probably my favourite 7th doctor story it's got everything drama suspence good monsters and the makeup on the ancient one superb. Plus the doctor at his most darkest manipulative using people like a game of chess including ace who has to face her future in the baby girl Audrey who might be her mother. and special mention goes to Nicholas parsons whose not normally known for his acting but here pulls it off as the rev Wainwright overall good story one of the best I've seen as fan. As I reviewed the VHS version on blu ray it looks just as good as it 30 years ago

Cameos
Just watched this film is seriously funny I like some Kevin Smith films like chasing amy and red state definitely put this up there with those films. Any film that breaks the third wall and pokes fun at it self and even Kevin Smith makes fun of himself which was funny. Love the cameos especially Matt Damon and Chris Hemsworth who I thought would never do something like this. But lastly not forgetting Harley Quinn Smith daughter of Kevin Smith star of the future who manages to steal the movie from her dad chip off the old block anyway good movie worth a rewatch.

Its different
More than 300 years in the future, society has been transformed by new technology, leading to human bodies being interchangeable and death no longer being permanent. Takeshi Kovacs is the only surviving soldier of a group of elite interstellar warriors who were defeated in an uprising against the new world order. His mind was imprisoned for centuries until impossibly wealthy businessman Laurens Bancroft offers him the chance to live again. Kovacs will have to do something for Bancroft, though, if he wants to be resurrected. Bancroft's request of Kovacs is to solve a murder -- Bancroft's. "Altered Carbon" is based on Richard K. Morgan's cyberpunk noir novel of the same name.

Old School Johnny (30 KP) rated Ozark - Season 3 in TV

Great crime drama that feels very cinematic ?
I am not big into TV shows however after watching the first two seasons of Ozark I was immediately hooked. Season three is equally as good if not better than previous two. For one, every character's actions have consequences that contribute to the larger story as whole. Additionally, the intensity in each episode is raised just a bit enough to keep the audience from predicting what will happen next. If you thought season 2 was a bit slower, season three definitely takes it up a couple of notches. I am excited for future seasons and give the show my high praise.

Disney's school for gifted yougsters
Disney's sky high is a story about a pre-hero teen who is set to attend a school for future hero's & maybe some villains.
a brilliant coming of age story that centres on pride and ambition told in a way only Disney can.
Plenty of fun and live action Disney style sfx make this a great family movie.
Story:Will is the son of The Commander and Jetstream - the world's greatest superheroes, who is struggling with his awkward secret...he hasn't developed any powers, on top of that he is about to begin attending a school for hero's - Sky High.
Making friends and enemies, thing's are about to go bad!
