Fantastic Narration
I got this book as part of the Audibles Free Monthly Originals program. I was extremely excited when I saw this novella on the list. I've always appreciated John Scalzi's writing so I was excited to try this book out. The narrator (Zachary Quinto) was phenomenal. I love listening to audiobooks because, in rare moments, the narrator brings the story to life. This is one of those moments. Zachary Quinto breathed life into this book, his voices and acting were fantastic!
The plot of this novella kept me on the edge of my seat. I enjoyed the blend of science fiction and realism. This book though science fiction felt real. I could see this take place in the future. It almost had an Altered Carbon feel to it in a way.

Well now. End Game. This may not be popular with some people, but it is my honest opinion. It is a brilliantly made film, but I would expect nothing less from Marvel. It has a fantastic cast and the idea and story are excellent. With all that and all that has come before it, my expectations were high. It has a great mix of humour, drama and action; it has amazing effects; a few good twists and some interesting things for future development. Unfortunately I was a little disappointed, it was really good but it wasn't great. Maybe the fault lays with me and my expectations were too high. I can honestly say that IMHO Avengers Assemble (the first full Avengers film) is still the best Marvel film.

What can I say? Another amazing book from the very talented Mina Carter. I'm not going to give away the story line as that's not fair to future readers, but what I can say is that you won't regret reading this.
I loved the characters. I loved that the past characters returned to this book in smaller roles, and showed character development. The scenes were sizzling, the emotions so perfectly described I could see the whole setting and such in my minds eye. That's how a book should be. It should transport the reader into the story.
It was a good pace. Short and sweet. By the end you were left wanting more. It was well written with no errors to stumble over.
5/5
Would definitely suggest to others.

Disappointing
There were a lot of aspects of this sci-fi thriller that I wanted to love, but the constant hyper-specialisation of women's bodies became irritating.
Similar to Blade Runner in terms of the setting, this dystopian series follows Takeshi Kovacs, after his downloaded self is put into a new body 250 years later, and he is forced to solve the murder of a man who has no memory of what happened to him in his last moments. In the future, humans have 'sleeves' and can officially never die but just get put back into a new body.
After a while, this just bordered on ridiculous (more so than your average sci-fi), and there are far too many storylines happening at the same time. I began tuning out after a while.

Michelle Serrano runs the chocolate part of Chocolate and Chapters, the combined chocolate and bookstore she owns with her best friend Erica. But one morning, she walks into their store to find their business neighbor Denise dead from a poisoned truffle. Now Michelle has to find the killer to clear her reputation.
These characters grew on me quickly, and I really came to care for them. I can’t wait to find out what happens to them in future books. The plot got a little sidetracked at the end, but it still had an exciting climax. Plus there were some twists along the way that confused me, but in a good way.

Slightly oddball product of Disney's acquisition of Marvel - this started life as a comic book featuring characters from the X-Men - ends up as a typically witty and accomplished animation. Youthful genius has to form super-team to stop a supervillain from misusing one of his inventions.
Now, obviously if you're a purist, you can find things to complain about here - no mutant powers, no Silver Samurai, the whole thing is set in a science-fantasy future - but for everyone else this is an engaging, well-told story that comes close to matching The Incredibles when it comes to evoking the thrill and invention of classic superhero stories. Witty and imaginative; looks gorgeous; thoroughly enjoyable (though you have to wait until after the credits for the obligatory Stan Lee cameo).

Going Places by Kathryn Beria
Four Stars
This story is about a teenage boy trying to find himself. Hudson was going places according to his teacher. When life throws off Hudson balance he seems to stop wanting to go places. School became unnecessary and helping others a priority. I’m not a boy so I don’t completely understand what he was going through. But I did understand not knowing what your future would hold and not finding confidence within yourself. His relationship with Fritzy was hilarious and true. She did give him sweet words or half truths. I didn’t like Love all that much. Overall the author did good and I was excited to be in the mind of a more realistic teenage boy on the journey of maturity.

Disclaimer: I received an e-copy in exchange for an honest review.
This book comes with a disclaimer of its own, and I have to say I definitely second, third, and fourth it to all future readers! All three stories are fantastic, and I'm already a fan of Ridley Fox, so I was happy to see him appear once again. "To The Last Bite" was certainly my favorite of the three (and I'm sure that doesn't bode well for my psyche), although I'm going to be quite wary of my remarks regarding a restaurant's cuisine ever again!!!
I wholeheartedly recommend this collection, especially to those who are already fans of Russell Brooks. Just make sure you're not planning to eat any time soon after reading...
Bon appetit!
5 stars =)

I really enjoyed this book. I found that the storyline was not predictable and that I was constantly on the edge of my couch reading this book. I finished this book in 24 hours. It was extremely good and I found myself captured by this book.
The writing was better than I expected. Most romance books that I have read are poorly written and filled with smut. I found that this book was well written and I didn't feel like the sex was too over the top.
The characters were lovable and I found myself laughing many times. I loved all of the characters and felt like the author knew what she was talking about.
All in all, this was a very good book. I will definitely look into Cindy Gerard's books in the future.
