"Both the film and the book had a big impact on me when I was a kid. I don’t remember how old I was when I first watched it, but the film was told from the perspective of a young boy who is experiencing the adult world and discovering that it’s horrifying. I remember specific scenes that have an impact on me more than the film does in general. There’s one in which the characters are fishing for eels in the sea—that scene has affected me in such a way that I have never eaten eel since. Not long ago I showed the film to my brother’s young son, and I was looking at his face and his experience watching it, and I realized that it could have the same impact on this generation growing up now—he was horrified! But at the same time, it’s fascinating"

Rosemary's Baby (1968)

"I would say that one of the most profound memories was when my mother – who was film fanatic and loved thrillers – took me to see Rosemary’s Baby when I was nine years old. The film had a huge impact on me and, of course, scared the shit out me! I certainly wouldn’t take my 10-year-old to see Rosemary’s Baby. “It is a masterpiece in terms of the way it uses the language of movies and it directed me towards Hitchcock and that kind of visual storytelling, and thrillers in general – or maybe more psychological thrillers. So that was my first and most memorable movie. It was the psychological fear and oddness, the oddness of the characters; I remember I didn’t even understand it all when I first saw it. Visually there were so many things that I hadn’t seen before that have stayed with me."

"I know a lot of people aren’t into Tango In The Night, but I think that’s because the production is really of-the-time, it’s very 80s sounding and I think it’s a CD-aware album. It’s not mastered in the same way that they used to do when cutting for vinyl. But there are some really amazing songs on it and I think that if it had been made in the 70s it would have been as big as Rumours. The 70s is all warm snares, and just duller and warmer in general. And there’s a lot more synthesizer work on Tango..., and I just think the songs are what count and they are easily up there. I think the synths are part of what has poisoned people’s minds to this particular album. Obviously Rumours is an all-time golden classic as well."

More lowest-common-denominator farce from the British film industry of yore. A con man who specialises in disguises, trying to locate the big score he and his dead partner made, must track down a group of women each of whom has vital clues to its whereabouts tattooed on her backside, while being pursued by the Mafia and London gangsters.

Nearly as horrendous as it sounds: some of these films make late-period Carry Ons look quite sophisticated. The plot takes a long time to get going and doesn't end up reaching anywhere worth the trip, despite the presence of various familiar faces from film and TV of the period. Has a weird sort of innocence to it despite all the smut, and Emery is a good enough comic to raise a few laughs even from material as thin and questionable as this. But, in general, oh dear.

I'll be honest here. The surprise of Raeanne and Kaeleigh being the same person, as in one body with two personalities, was blown for me before I even began reading... Considering I was deliberately looking for books including multiple/split personalities. Perhaps that has a huge effect on how I felt about the book in general, but I suppose I'll never really know. I was pretty bored throughout a majority of the story. I read some reviews that said this was Ellen's most twisted and disturbing book yet, but I guess I'm made of much tougher stuff, because it really didn't bother me. I'm not saying what happened to Kaeleigh is okay, in any way, I'm just saying my reaction wasn't nearly as strong as some others. I felt like there wasn't much in the way of character development, though Ellen made it very easy to despise the father and mother.

Not The Bad
This Remake/Reboot of Planet of the Apes isnt that bad. The action is good, the acting is good, the sci-fi is good. Its that ending that made no sense. Im not sure why people didnt like this film, that its one of the worst remake's/reboots of all time. Its not their are others remakes/reboots that are worst than this.

The plot: Astronaut Leo Davidson whips through space and time to a world where apes and gorillas rule the humans. Captured, he is nurtured by Ari and hunted by General Thade as he leads a rebel group of humans and chimpanzees in search of his downed craft. This is his only hope of escape and, ironically, the planet's only hope of shaking off the tyranny of the gorillas, allowing peaceful humans and chimpanzees to co-exist.

I think its a good film.

Like, wow. Seriously, WTF! *mind blown*
Okay, come on, there's absolutely no way anyone actually guessed how this one was going to end - impossible! My eyes, during that final chapter, were as big as an owl's; I didn't, for a single second, see that ending coming. The whole time I kept asking myself: What's Adele up to? There were even moments when I thought, it'd be a cool (but not necessarily surprising) twist if David was the real psycho, which would leave Adele to be innocent and taken advantage of. Either way, I was constantly second-guessing myself, completely oblivious to what the end result could possibly be. The only thing keeping me from rating Behind Her Eyes with 5 stars was that I found myself a bit put off by the writing itself, not the story in general. Even still, I loved the roller coaster and shocking end!

One of my go to board games
This game is one of my number one board games. It has such variety, in that it has many different scenarios that can trigger in one game. It is so entertaining exploring the house, despite it sometimes not fitting on the table. Waiting to find out who is going to end up as the traitor makes for some hilarious conversations during play.
It varies on how long it takes to play, but in general it doesn't drag on too long.
I do have a problem where, probably due to luck, the haunt is easy to complete and ends the game brusquely. Or it ends up the other way where it seems to take a really long time to complete anything and win.
But overall, great game, very fun and easy to play and can't wait for another game night.
