Good show, starting to wane now
A good story based on the book by Piper Kerman.
The first 3 seasons of this were excellent, really gritty and true to life, after this the quality waned off and became a little ridiculous, season 5 was completely ridiculous and I dread season 6.
Im actually glad its the last one.
As I said the show has given me joy to watch for the first few seasons hence the 7 rating.

The Good Demon is a gritty, dark, and refreshing YA story about Clare, a 15 year old girl who undergoes an exorcism without her consent. After the demon within her is purged, Clare is sick of her community trying to decide what's best for her and sets off to reclaim the demon stolen from her. The Good Demon explores topics such as consent, feminism, and religion, all while supporting Clare as a woman who can and does make decisions for herself.

Interesting
A decent Netflix film part thriller mainly drama as a journalist for a New York based magazine is pursued for her account of an incidental that happened at her university years ago.
It's a good story based on a best selling book. Quite raw and gritty at times but also maybe has too many scenes around fitting in with the social elite and very rich. Didn't really deliver the ending it felt it was building up to.

I really enjoyed this series of books, each one has had me reading late into the night. This story is gripping, gritty and emotional, you just wont be able to put it down. Fantastic characters. This author is fantastic at writing dark romances. I just couldn't put this book down till I'd finished it then I was left wanting more. I can't wait to read more from this author in the future.

Dean (6926 KP) rated Get the Gringo (2012) in Movies

Known as "How I spent my summer Vacation" in the UK?! A strange and quirky film set in a Mexican prison, which feels more like a mini city full of bad guys. This didn't get much hype, and I didn't know what to expect which possibly made me like it a bit more. It feels a bit gritty and rough around the edges compared to a lot of Mel Gibson's films, but it was still a decent watch if nothing spectacular. Reminded me of Payback a little.

Once you're hooked you really see and feel the characters. (2 more)
It's gritty, gives you such an insight of late 19th century East End.
Shows true emotions, the turmoil women and men have in those times. ***
Slow start slamming finish.

*** Like a bad boy wanting a good girl, the good girl wanting him. A womans need to achieve her dreams whatever the cost and the consequences of her actions. The addiction of gambling and the repercussions for not only the person, but their family and others around them.
