The Impossible Art of Falling

Wow! The raw emotions that are written in this book is incredible. I felt Jena's pain through the pages. I didn’t grow up with a dad but her lose made me feel what I had missed. The betrayal she felt was unbelievably sad. How any one can just leave a child no matter their age is incomprehensible to me. Luke was amazing he was strong and caring. The pain he hides behind those blue eyes is just heart breaking. To blame yourself for every wrong step.
These two met each other at the right moment. To find your pain in someone else’s eyes and want to protect them. I was with the author at every word and every moment. There wasn’t a time when I didn’t feel something. Bravo! This is the second book I have read and it has made me cry.
Finding your way in a sea of ever changing emotions is so hard. To live everyday knowing you can’t bring them back or that you couldn’t save them. I felt their pain and then their happiness.
THIS IS A MUST READ!!!!

This final book in the series is possibly even better than the rest. Most of the darkness from the previous books is gone allowing us to really explore Pim and Elder and dare to hope for happiness.

That being said this is by no means a happy carefree book, there is of course pain, physical and emotional, threats and near death experiences to keep you on your toes right till the very end.

We even get a brief glimpse into the mystery of Selix and some of his reasons for being Elder’s shadow. However this small snippet gives some closure but does build hope for more of his story later on.

The end is completely satisfying, we get a multi perspective epilogue, then an extended epilogue and then the final epilogue. I felt it really finished off the story so there were no unanswered questions. Without the fault of some epilogues, which skip forward a few years so that you get information but not necessarily the emotions.

I think this series was the perfect length to tell Pim and Elder’s story but without getting lost in the middle as I feel some series can.

Hope Tala is an up-and-coming singer-songwriter from London, England. Not too long ago, she released a music video for her “Lovestained” single.

“Slipping back into happiness ‘cause you give me more time to live a life that sings like mine. You make me drowsy with delight and I’m slipping back into feeling blessed. ‘Cause you are so damn fine and I’ll skip into the sunlight with you and skip back at midnight.” – lyrics

‘Lovestained’ is the first single taken from Hope Tala’s upcoming EP.

So far, the likable tune has amassed over 500,000 streams online since being released in April.

Also, the song contains a relatable storyline, warm vocals, and tropical-flavored instrumentation laced with drifting acoustic guitar chords.

“‘Lovestained’ sits in the grey area between infatuation and love. When you just want the person you’re interested in to give you a little bit more of themselves so that you can let yourself fall for them.” – Hope Tala

Half-whispered and half-sung, ‘Lovestained’ is sheer honey for the ears. Also, it’s a sensual treat that lingers long after the first note drifts away on the open breeze.

We’re on the run and not even my mind is safe.

The nightmares won’t stop. I can’t sleep at all. My enemies have planted my worst fears in my head to exhaust me of my magic. If I don’t uncover the final element I need soon, they just might succeed.

To make matters worse, my heart is breaking. Raum hasn’t spoken to me in nearly a week. I can’t share with him the single shred of happiness that’s keeping me going through all this. If he leaves me, I’m not sure how I’ll go on.

Constantly on the move, our latest home comes with mysterious new neighbors. I can only hope they’re friendly. I can’t handle more enemies.

Having read and enjoyed Lesley's previous two books, The Rumour and Who Did You Tell?, I jumped at the chance to read this, her latest outing and, once again, I wasn't disappointed.

The Dare is an enthralling read where you can literally feel the tension building as the story unfolds. I was absolutely immersed from start to finish in the story of Lizzie and her best friend, Alice from both the "then" and "now" perspectives - this may sound confusing but, believe me, it's not.

After the accident that killed her best friend 12 years ago, Lizzie is trying to rebuild her life; she is engaged to be married to a GP, her epilepsy is under control and she is thinking of going to university however, things start to happen that quickly threaten that happiness.

The Dare is a slow-burner, that builds in tension, intrigue and suspense. I found it riveting and hard to stop reading and I would certainly recommend to people who enjoy an excellent psychological thriller with an enthralling plot and great twists.

Thank you to Random House UK, Transworld Publishers and NetGalley for my advance copy in return for an honest, unbiased and unedited review.

This was my first time reading a book by Janey King, it is the first book in her series titled The Berkshire Series, and it is her debut novel; so a Trifecta of firsts! The main characters, Hannah, and Collin are an interesting mix match of characteristics and so much heart packed into them both. I enjoyed Janey King's portrayal of their lives and the struggles they faced in the past and together in the present. It was a very realistic and blunt (I do mean blunt) portrayal of the struggles we all go through. I did enjoy the overall plot of overcoming your past and finding happiness with where you are at. One thing I did struggle with was the continual emphasis on sex, it was a constant mention in both mental and verbal conversations. Just not my usual cuppa tea as I like to focus on the story. But it is still a good storyline and I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

*I volunteered to read this book in return for my honest feedback. The thoughts and opinions expressed within are my own.

I read the first book back in January and really liked the concept; people who commit suicide having the chance to help others on the verge of doing so themselves. It may sound off-putting but it's done in such a way that you understand them and their reasoning. Okay, I'm doing a crap job at selling the series but it's different.

Anyway, this follows on from the first. Even having a small part of the first book to help remind you of what happened at the end and then we're straight into the story. I don't want to spoil it for you if you haven't started the series by going into what it centres around but Sloan is now at The Station, much to Piper's equal horror and happiness.

They begin a budding romance that is really sweet. They're cute together!

I didn't enjoy this as much as the first but it was a great addition.

Once again with this series, the ending has left me thinking, "I need the next one NOW!!" and I will be adding Dying to Return to my Amazon wish-list straight away.

Bori is a 19-year old rising singer-songwriter based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Not too long ago, he released a wonderful Afro-pop tune, entitled, “On My Way”.

‘On My Way’ is Bori’s second single, which he co-wrote with Mack, Sebastian Atas, Victor Sjöström, and Viktor Broberg.

The likable tune tells an inspirational tale of a young guy who chooses to follow his heart. Therefore, he does what he believes he has to do in order to fulfill his goals and find happiness.

‘On My Way’ contains a relatable storyline, ear-welcoming vocals, and dance-friendly instrumentation flavored with a tropical Afro-pop aroma.

“‘On My Way’ represents my way to success and the way that I will take to reach my goals.” – Bori

Bori gained international attention after featuring on German DJ Felix Jaehn’s multi-million streaming single, “Jennie”. Since then, the likable tune has amassed over 50M streams online.

Not too ago, Bori released a music video for his debut single, entitled, “Players Ballad”.

‘Players Ballad’ tells an interesting tale about a guy who gets in lots of trouble because of his bad decisions. In the end, he has to pay for it.

Blended Whiskey is a short in the Agents Irish and Whiskey series, and we catch up with Jamie and Aidan for their wedding. Not only do we get to hear from them, but also from Danny, Mel, Nic, and Cam too. High on the sweetness level, and still as steamy as ever, I loved this addition. There is enough of a teaser regarding Nic and Cam that I am now desperately trying to remain patient until their story comes out. I loved how this was told from different perspectives, and loved every aspect of this short story, including Katie's vows. Aidan and I had our issues but I'm very glad to see he's worked them out. I wish the happy couple every happiness for the future 😉

With no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt my reading flow, I thoroughly recommend this novella, but only AFTER you've read the others. Honestly, they're too good to miss!

* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and my comments here are my honest opinion. *
