"This is another book about a man in Victorian England trying to reform and own the heart of a sex worker. It’s a theme for the Victorian period and it’s a theme for me as a reader and this psychosexual drama held my attention on every page. Very ornate descriptions of the main sexy girl’s chapped and bleeding lips, which I like. It is very rich with period sex details (the way they applied spermicide is haunting), which is primo for me."

🎻 “When war begins, a violinist must face his past—and save the son he left behind.”

In A Virtuoso in America: Adrian (A Holocaust Story #2) by Fred Raymond Goldman, music becomes both a refuge and a reminder of everything lost. A haunting, powerful story of love, survival, and the bonds that even war cannot break. 💔

Beautiful music
Her best yet
While I've like many Adele songs in the past, I've never really liked enough of them on one albumn to buy it until now. This one doesn't have a bad one on it. Her music is beautiful and haunting and fun all at the same time. Best part for me though is that this is music that both the kids and I like so we can all enjoy listening together. Not all artists can cross generations like she can.

Firstly, I would like to draw your attention to the cover of the book - the look on the little boy's face is haunting. What threat is he? What happened to him? Who is the man behind the machine gun and why? This book provides an explanation.

I don't think you could ever describe this book as enjoyable or a thrilling read because of the nature of its content, however it was well written and well researched although I am no expert.
