Allatsea (3 KP) rated My Dad Wrote A Porno in Podcasts

Hysterical!
This podcast, which is quickly gaining notoriety for it's humour, didn't fail to disappoint me.
The 'book' in question - Belinda Blinks - is entirely secondary to the bland narration by the son, and his friends comments throughout.
I popped headphones on and listened on public transport- it quickly became apparent this wasn't a good idea as I kept suddenly laughing.
If you aren't easily offended, and the clue is quite firmly in the title, then give it a go for a little light hearted fun. If nothing else, you will come away with a sense of relief he's not your father!

Excellent Low Price Alternative
Tuinyo Over Ear Stereo Wireless Headset is a fantastic equivalent to some more expensive branded headphones. These are bluetooth and have a 35h playtime with deep bass. Quality materials and stylish design add to the superior sound quality. Connectivity is simple and seamless with no problems on either my Lenovo Laptop or my Sony Xperia XA2 smartphone. The price is amazing considering the quality of the item. A must have if you want style, good sound and quality without the high end prices. A+++++

Kate (355 KP) rated Apple iPad Pro in Tech

Was on the lookout for a new iPad, so went to test a few, had seen this one on line and was so tempted by it but thankfully I went to test drive it first and so glad I did because I changed my mind. It really is for the professionals, there is no home button, you swipe the screen upwards to get back and it moves quite fast, so those who do suffer from motion sickness it could you make you feel rather ill. There is also no headphone socket so you have to purchase Bluetooth headphones if you don't have any. Didn't purchase this one.
Bookapotamus (289 KP) rated Libby, by OverDrive in Apps

Could be great!
I love finding ebooks on Libby and I typically place all 6 allowed holds for new and hot books. I have downloaded audiobooks, but I typically listen to these in the car, and its not compatible with Apple Car Play. So I have to use headphones...weird! And I wish my wishlists and markers would sync my account to the eLibrary site. The holds do, but that's all. I had a huge wishlist on the website but when I went to find a new book on Libby, my wish list was empty :(
Cyn Armistead (14 KP) rated Trouble in Paradise (Paradise, #4) in Books

I am not entirely certain that I want to publicly acknowledge having read this book. The blurb is not only poorly written, but inaccurate. The cover art - is that art? I'm not sure what or who it's supposed to depict, and after reading the book I still couldn't describe the four main characters in terms of anything but sexual characteristics, and even then, all three men might as well be one guy copied a few times, what with all the huge, throbbing, hard, chiseled, tan, and muscled going on.
I probably wasn't supposed to demand any kind of real plot or continuity out of erotica, but I'm contrary that way. We meet a woman who has worked all night in her garage. We're told she has exceptionally good hearing as she takes off her iPod headphones. Shortly afterwards, we learn that some THING has been stalking her - wait, she worked all night in an unlocked place without an alarm system, wearing headphones that block her oh-so-good hearing, despite supposedly being all anxious about a killer who is after her? I don't buy it.
I frequently felt that this might be an excerpt of a larger work, or from a series of stories that readers are expected to be familiar with. Decent authors know how to repeat key information without boring returning fans so as to help new readers get their footing. Is that just not done in erotica?
Yes, I'm probably being too critical. But if it doesn't work for wanking, it should work as story. And it didn't work for either, for me, at least.

You may have read on another post that I was on the lookout for a replacement IPad as mine is about 8 years old and apps were no longer compatible with it. I was shown this one by the salesman and it ticked all the boxes, the screen is slightly bigger it is 10.5cm, there is a home button and a jack for headphones, the screen and graphics are so much sharper and the memory is 64GB compared to current one of 12GB. I am normally so behind the curve with technology but pre-ordered this one last night online as it doesn't even hit the shops until today, I just have to wait impatiently for it to arrive. I did also buy a seperate keyboard only because I have never liked the onscreen one (being a typist), a seperate keyboard is so much easier.

Fast Paced, Adrenalin Pumping Movie
If you are going to see one movie this summer, make it this one. When you going to the theater do not be late, because the first 6 minutes of this movie are flat out fast paced and amazing. After the opening credits nothing slows down.
The best part of this movie though is how they incorporate the music into the movie. Every time Baby is on the screen and wear his headphones, we not only hear the music in his head but we can feel the way it plays into the scene. Because of the ringing in his ears he needs the music to balance himself out and stay focused. This plays a big part towards the end of the movie.
This movie from front to back is nonstop and has an interesting story to follow. Every person should go see this movie, then own it.
