Cindy Sproles is a new to me author and she brings us an amazing story with this book! When I sat down and opened the pages of this book, I was instantly hooked. I felt every emotion of the characters, every heart wrenching moment within the pages. These characters were wonderfully chiseled and absolutely took my breath away.

Lochiel's character is stunning. She is has so many secrets to deal with and so much pain. Lochiel will work her way into your heart, and you'll want to reach out and wrap her up in a hug!

Ms. Sproles writing style is unique and a fresh breath of air for this reader! This book will captivate the reader and take them on an emotional roller coaster ride, leaving them wanting more! This book is definitely worthy of 4 stars and two thumbs up. You don't want to miss it!

I think this was the most heartbreaking book of the series so far. It still had it’s funny parts, but it was actually quite sad. It really broke my heart when Harriet discovered that a lot of her ‘friends’ didn’t really care about her.

All of the main characters are lovable and being this far into the series, Harriet felt like a good friend to me. Her story was always close to my heart.

I did prefer the setting of this book since it is in a school and at home rather than Harriet jetting off somewhere as it made it easier to read and relate to.

This was definitely one of the most relatable books altogether, especially with the painfully truthful part about losing friends.

Harriet really started to mature in this one which really helped me love her character even more.

I don’t know why I never read past this point. A few months ago I bought the last two books so I can’t wait to get back to this series!

A heartwarming read
I decided to give this book ago on the basis of other reviews on here, and overall I'm glad I decided to give it a go as it's a rather heartwarming enjoyabke read.

This is very well written, and Harold is truly a character you can get behind as he's endearing yet ultimately flawed. Even Maureen too who you start off disliking, winds up winning your heart as well. The plot is a great idea and came across to me sometimes as an English Forrest Gump, with the pilgrimage across the country. There's a lot of heart in this book and Harold's journey takes you on an emotional journey as a reader. I felt rather emotional and almost welling up at the end. The end itself for me was fairly mixed, it was good just not quite the amazingly happy ending I'd hoped for. There are some frustrations with this story, mainly from the other 'pilgrims' and how Harold does/doesn't deal with these situations. But overall this is a very enjoyable and surprisingly fast paced read.

Cara Putman has created another amazing novel. She filled this one with her trademark twists and turns and kept this reader very hooked from start to finish! I found myself on the edge of my seat on more than one occasion with this story.

Jaime and Chandler were beautifully chiseled. They were perfect for their roles and really became a part of me as I followed along side them. I felt their relationship grow like it was my own, I felt their hearts beating like mine as they helped the victim. And Aslan....oh how my heart loved that therapy dog! Of course, I'm a sucker for all animals!

Once again, 5 stars to the talented Mrs. Putman. Her story will take you on a journey you won't soon forget. The pages turned long into the night for me, and before I knew it, Jaime and Chandler's story came to an end. Definitely recommending this one with hats off and two thumbs up.

I don't even know what to say. Honestly, I saw someone else say that this book wrecked them and I was feeling masochistic, so I decided to pick it up and read it for myself. Unfortunately, I chose to pick it up around 11 o'clock at night. Wrong choice! I absolutely could not stop! I read the whole thing, straight through, until almost 4 o'clock the next morning. And the reader I got my recommendation from was right - this book absolutely did wreck me. Not so much that I ugly cried, but enough that I literally felt a hole in my heart when I was finished. Nothing could have prepared me for the ending. Some books based on high school teenagers are so cliche and immature, but Paper Princess was different and extremely refreshing. I found myself relating so much with Ella that it was almost scary. The story felt original and I like that. Throughout the whole book, I rode the roller coaster of emotions right alongside Ella. The ending has left me devastated, but I'm desperate to move on to the next book and discover what's next for Ella!

Cold Crypt Cellars ( Krystianna Aramis book 1)
By J R O’Bryant
⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶🌶

Centuries old vampire Krystianna Aramis and her contingent of security and staff have come to the heart of the Midwest for a wine convention. Well, the convention and a bit of "Adult" fun. The entire supernatural world comes out to play for the convention including Krystianna's main competetion from across the big pond. When all hell breaks loose and it looks like the vampire council will have to intercede things get a bit crazy for Krystianna and her love life.

I wanted to go with a 3.5 on this. The characters are interesting and well thought out the world building is pretty good. The story is interesting too. For a first published book it’s a solid start I’m definitely intrigued as to where it will go in future books. There was a bit of spice but it felt a little muted and restrained not sure if that was on purpose, there were a few places it just felt a little flat for me. Overall it’s was a good book and I’m looking forward to reading more.

A Spooky Ghost Story and Mystery in One!
When I first read the synopsis for The Broken Girls by Simone St. James, I knew it was a book I had to read. I was going to wait for it to come down in price, but the more I thought about the book, the more I knew I had to read it as soon as possible. Luckily, it was such a fantastic read!

The Broken Girls has such an interesting plot with everything I love such as a creepy boarding school, a scary ghost, and very big mystery. It felt like I was reading two different stories at the same time whilst reading this book, but it worked very well. Two mysteries at different time frames within the same book made for a great read. I loved reading about the mystery of Deb, the main character's sister, as well as Mary Hand, the ghost that haunts Idlewild Hall. I enjoyed how the two desperate stories came together brilliantly. Nothing felt rushed. It just flowed together so well. I also loved the little bit of true life history in the book. I had never heard of Ravensbruck prior to reading The Broken Girls. That tidbit was interesting. Although there were a few plot twists, I found them to be easily predictable. Saying that, this didn't take away my enjoyment from the book.

The characters in The Broken Girls were written fantastically! Almost every single character was fleshed out perfectly. I felt as if I was reading about real life people instead of fictional characters. The character that felt the most real to me was Sonia. My heart went out to her the most after all she had endured at such a young age. I admired Katie's leadership qualities. I also admired Fiona's thirst for the truth throughout everything. Mary Hand made such an excellent ghost! I enjoyed her backstory as well. She was so spooky to read about and what she could make people see was even more scary! The only character I would have loved to read a little more about was Rose Albert. I felt as if she could have had a very interesting back story as well.

The pacing for The Broken Girls was done very well. Nothing ever felt rushed nor was the pacing too slow where reading the book felt tedious and like it had to be done. Everything flowed so well.

Trigger warnings in The Broken Girls include violence, murder, attempted murder, ghosts, profanities, and drinking alcohol.

All in all, The Broken Girls was such a thrilling read that held my attention throughout. I loved the Gothic feel as well as just how beautifully written this book was. I would definitely recommend The Broken Girls by Simone St. James to those aged 16+ who enjoy a fantastically written mystery with a bit of the paranormal. This is one book that won't disappoint!

Have you ever read a book that completely captivates you? A book written in such a way that you feel like you are an integral part of the story line? This book did this for me and I LOVED reading it!! This story is full of friendships, love and overwhelming obstacles. I swear that I could feel the emotions that the characters felt and I laughed and cried throughout this story.

This author put her heart into this book and it shows in her writing. This witty and at times heartbreaking read will delight all of your senses and it teaches us the importance of perseverance. This book deserves, no, it has earned more than the five stars I can give it.

Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino by Arctic Monkeys
Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino by Arctic Monkeys
2018 | Indie, Rock
When it came to thus album I felt like there were really two groups when it came to Arctic Monkey fans... You have the AM fans who just wanted another AM album and you have the Arctic Monkey fans who knew that this album was going to be different and were ready for it... I was firmly in the ready for something new and I was not disappointed. Yes this album really channeled a more Bowie-esque sound and I will admit to tearing up while giving it the first listen through but at its heart this was a Arctic Moneky album and like their other albums I loved it. Also hearing Four Out of Five live made me dog the album even more.
