Jojo Rabbit- alot of people told me that their liked this movie. From the trailer it looked reallly good. So when i watched it yesterday, i didnt love it, i liked it kinda. Let me explain...

The subject of Nazis and Hitler is a touchy one to say the least, but it's also a subject that is ripe for satire, and one of the many aspects that stands out here, is how Taika Waititi has managed to craft a film that is absolutely hilarious, but never undermines how horrible this part of history was. So the fact that Taika made Hitler funny was kinda weird, strange and also didnt feel right. But at the same time Taika did a excellent job playing Hitler. Its just strange and out of chacter to see hitler funny. Other than that the movie is good.

The plot: Jojo is a lonely German boy who discovers that his single mother is hiding a Jewish girl in their attic. Aided only by his imaginary friend -- Adolf Hitler -- Jojo must confront his blind nationalism as World War II continues to rage on.

The cast is good, the plot is good, like i said its just strange, wired, out of charcter to see hitler funny. The film never shows the darkside of WWII. So thats good. Jojo Rabbit is a good dark comedy film.

While I found this book enjoyable to read, there were a few aspects of it that irritates me throughout.
1) I couldn't understand why Hitler was unable to change himself ever so slightly to mix in with modern society. It was clear he understood the world has changed so why couldn't he make the effort to change with it?
2) Would Germany really be so accepting of a Hitler 'impersonator'? I have the feeling that no, they would not!

Other than these two points I enjoyed the book, and by this I don't mean I found Hitler and his atrocious crimes funny, this book is clearly a piss take...

"Mesmerizing. Though you can’t believe half of it. That still leaves half to ponder. Her descriptions of normal friendly conversations with Hitler are amazing and ring of truth."

Social Deduction at It's Finest
If you are a veteran of social deduction games, Secret Hitler is probably not for you. It is just barely more complicated than The Resistance, and there are games with far more complicated mechanics than it. But Secret Hitler is a great introduction to social deduction. The mechanics can be picked up easily, and it still has enough variety to be interesting.

If you regularly have a group of 6-10 players, I highly recommend this game.

The Man Who Killed Hitler and Then the Bigfoot (2018)
2018 | Adventure, Drama
With the title The Man Who Killed Hitler and Then the Bigfoot i was not sure what to think going in. This is a nice little gem i would recommend to anyone. I would not watch it again but it was good. It has some interesting ideas and worth viewing. Ehen you think it should be over you find out it is not and i think that is where i did not like it.
Yes this movie does have Hitler and Bigfoot in it.

Love Social Deduction? Then Love Secret Hitler!
This is one of the best social deduction (if not THE best) games I've ever played: and I've played a lot of them. I highly recommend getting a group of friends together to play this: you will not regret yelling at each other for an hour about who's Hitler and who's not. So fun!
