This had me gripped from the very first sentence to the very last. I am currently researching P.T.S.D. in order to write a theatre production. Brian had, and still has, a lot of emotions that didn't always make sense and that is a natural reaction given the sights he had witnessed.
When he stands in a queue and contemplates killing those around him due to their lousy life worries was very tense in reading but very understandable. He has been reassured that he isn't crazy and that he doesn't have P>T>S>D and I hope that gave him peace mentally and physically. Excellent book!

Not quite but alright
Some people are giving it hell because of a couple of punctuation and grammar mistakes, big deal. My five comes from the shortness and quality of writing compared to others of the same price. However despite that this is still money well spent. You will probably, like me, sit and read this in one sitting. It is short true stories told by police with no frills, just the facts or what they see as the facts. It's a complete thrill ride which will shock you and make you think. Let's hope he brings out another.

This one is written from a different brothers perspective and he is much more likeable I think. I am so gripped with the storyline that I hope that it doesn't fall flat! I am putting up with all these crap sex scenes just to find out what happens in the end!
All these books seem to cut off at the end too, I understand that you need to leave a slight cliff hanger to encourage the reader to continue the series but this is more like a TV episode than a full book

Almodovar's sixth movie is the one that brought him properly to international attention, but it's clear that his distinctive style was already well-developed by this point: there is the same skilful combination of suspense-movie tropes with sometimes-outrageous melodrama, and a sense of narrative playfulness.



Very strong performances from Antonio Banderas and Carmen Maura in particular, although the script seems to lack some of the deftness and confidence Almodovar would show in later movies - the shift from relationship drama to thriller isn't quite as well handled as one could hope for, and some elements of the story really do strain credibility. Nevertheless, an accomplished and engaging movie.
