This is no 5 star Hotel
I was intrigued by the trailer for this a while back but missed it at the cinema. It features a secret hotel in LA for members only, usually those on the wrong side of the law. Set in the near future during a city riot.
There are a mix of characters at the Hotel which is mainly used as a patch up service for those injured and need treatment no questions asked.
The main issue of the film is it gives a glimpse into this world and tries to give some info to the back stories of the characters with varying success. Also leaving a few things unexplained and some plotlines thread bare. The direction is all over the place, part action, drama, thriller. It doesn't seem to know which one it should be. It's still an enjoyable film but it had much greater potential.

Book Rating
I just finished reading Hotel Magnifique by Emily J Taylor. This book is about a magical hotel that only comes around once and a while. In it Jani discovers the disturbing secrets of "Hotel Magnifique." I chose to read this book by discovering it on Bookishfirst. I loved the cover it caught my attention it's so pretty so I decided to read the description and look it up on Booktok. I'm glad I did I loved it it's a wonderful interesting story. It's one I wish I could read again. Let's be honest Jani was irritating at first though but I understood their reasoning for it. If you can get past that it's a definite amazing read. If you love fantasy and magical stories definitely read this.

So the cover what I love about it is the feathers surrounding the clock and key the person who designed the cover did a really good job 5/5 for the cover 4/5 for the story.

The Addams Family (2019)
2019 | Animation, Comedy, Family
There is nothing particularly wrong with the new Addams Family film. It being animated allowed the horror aspects to be slightly overdone perhaps. I feared this might be like Hotel Transylvania, but there was enough humour and quality writing to avoid being that bad.

"The Thing is a classic. Even though the effects are a little outdated, it still scares the crap out of me. We actually watched this movie while filming It Follows. The whole cast piled into one of our hotel rooms and we watched together."
