Chemistry between the actors
It's got everything a marvel film should have
That's my secret, I'm always angry.
Thoroughly enjoyed this film, I know there was a lot of scepticism about Mark ruffalo as the Hulk, but the part was made for him. He plays it so well, Bruce's vulnerability to the Hulks unpredictability. All tha actoring and direction is awesome all round great film.

More cameos than an Edwardian garden party
Having suffered through the first Thor film, given up on the second one, and detested him in the Avengers films I wasn't expecting to enjoy Thor all that much and was really only in it for the Hulk. However I was pleasantly surprised. Chris Hemsworth seems to have learned to act in the last few years, and seems to have developed an awareness of comic timing.
The film sees Thor team up with Loki, Hulk and a former Valkyrie to defeat Thor's sister Hela and avoid Ragnarok as she looks to lead an army of the dead throughout the galaxy.
There is a great deal of comedy throughout the film but also top notch action sequences, most notably Thor vs Hulk and Hela's assault on Asgard.
Having been disappointed with the absence of Thor and Hulk from Captain America: Civil War (Huffy Cry-baby) I had hoped this film would make amends, and it did indeed.
Of particular enjoyment was the theatrical interpretation of Loki's death where Matt Damon and the other Hemsworth act out Loki's apparent death, overseen by Sam Neill's Odin.

David McK (3233 KP) rated Incredible Hulk Epic Collection Vol. 1: Man or Monster? in Books

"HULK ... SMASH!"
A collection of the original sIncredible Hulk tories (or those in which he appeared), I was actually surprised on reading these just how 'smart' (relatively speaking) the Hulk actually was - not at all like the "Rrrr...Arrrgh" engine of destruction I was expecting, but able to hold full conversations with those he was interacting with.
I was also surprised that - initially, at least - the transformation process did not happen when Bruce Banner got angry, but rather at night times, or when he voluntarily underwent it by stepping in front of his hidden Gamma Ray machine (after initially being caught in a Gamma Ray explosion that started the whole process going): very much a modern Jekyll and Hyde scenario, as it were!

David McK (3233 KP) rated The Incredible Hulk: Planet Hulk in Books
Jan 30, 2019
Hmmm .... This opens with The Hulk / Bruce Banner exiled from Earth on a space-craft that is meant to deposit him on a remote and uninhabited planet, before that craft is pulled off-course and through a mysterious wormhole (are there any other kinds?) to a distant - and inhabited - planet.
What follows is, essentially, an off-world retelling of Spartacus, with The Hulk first captured by Imperials, sent to fight in the Arena's, then escaping and leading a revolt (even if, unlike Spartacus this one is successful).
Yes, it has plenty of explosions and battles, but (I hate to say), the entire thing is somewhat bland; never really drawing me in to the story and with no real hook - this is also, very much, a story of The Hulk rather than of Bruce Banner.

Another great Avengers movie

Another adventurous movie about a beloved Avenger. Who doesn’t love Thor? The movie also includes The Incredible Hulk, which was a little surprise. All in all, full of action and humor.

Gamma dogs?
OK I recently rewatched this Ang Lee directed almost forgotten 1st Hulk and although it has some truly stupid elements, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The villain was weak, but the look and feel of the film was right on.
I liked the way director Lee made you feel like you were watching a comic book with different boxes and frames the way a comic would have. The Hulk escape and tank/helicopter battle sequence is still very good. I have watched those scenes multiple times for home theatre demos and it never disappoints.
It's too bad Eric Bana did not continue as Hulk as I think he is underrated as an actor although Mark Ruffalo is good in the current version as well.

I think this is the best Thor movie as of yet. It's packed with jokes, Loki and Thor work well together and I love Banner helping Thor out.
