Fascinating
I found this series on Amazon. It's a collection of stories about real historical incidents that took place that sparked the life of some of mankind's legends and myths. Very interesting and thought provoking look into our past as humans and how things(like science and beliefs) have changed over the centuries. With a watch if you are into documentaries told with actors, animation and art!

For something that got crappy reviews, I actually found it funny. It's with puppets, so it is going to be corny, but it was just enough to give me a few decent laughs and make it enjoyable. If you decide to watch this, go in with an open mind and enjoy the corny and often inappropriate jokes.

I think some of the collaborations are slightly weaker tracks, although I do like Lust for Life (0 more)
A bit of a departure, but not in a bad way
I admit it, it wasn't completely convinced by the tracks released before the album came out, but I wasn't an initial fan of Ultraviolence either. However, I found that once I listened to the album in its entirety I could see a bit better where she was going. It's not devoid of her usual blend of bitter melancholy, but I did think that it allowed a certain level of hopefulness in. I admire the way that all the albums are different and that she is continually experimenting and working with different artists, even if it isn't always to my taste!

Actual rating: 3.5 Stars.

I found this to be an enjoyable, light, fluffy and incredibly random read, it was also absolutely hilarious...I did laugh out loud a few times. Then why only a 3.5 rating you ask? Well...in some places I did get very annoyed with Georgia's attitude, especially towards her parents. I never spoke to my parents the way she did and to be honest I didn't do much of what she and her friends got up to. I thought that yeah it is for teenagers so I should still be able to relate to it as I am only 24, yet I just couldn't relate at all! Maybe it's because I have always been a bit of a tom boy and not a girly girl.
For a light, really silly read pick this one up and give it a try.

I will start my review by telling you that by the end of the second chapter I stopped reading this and I called my daughter into my bedroom and I began to read the book out loud. We read it in one sitting and we both loved it.

The suspense kept us on the edge of the bed and we often found ourselves laughing. The story line was beautiful and uplifting and full of life lessons. This author is talented and has a way with words. We both look forward to reading more of her books and we HIGHLY recommend this to one and all. -

The premise of this novel was so good, who wouldn't want to jump into a book? Though, it did give me 'Inkheart' vibes from the very beginning.
I think that's why I found this book to be just ok. Basically, the opposite of Inkheart occurs, but I think Inkheart was better written. The problem with this book might have also been the translation from German.
Book Jumpers, in this novel, protect literature, but for some reason, someone's stealing ideas. Of course, you don't really know why until the very end. It was completely predictable and I came up with a better ending in my head.

Great ensemble cast (0 more)
Decent heist film
I didn't see any reviews before seeing this so I had an open mind. I didn't expect much but found it enjoyable enough as a fan of the the other films. The cast is overall impressive, although Helena Bonham Carter was a bit panto and Rihanna doesn't have many lines. I thought James Corden was miscast as the insurance investigator. Cate Blanchet and Anne Hathaway stood out the most.
It doesn't have the Razmatazz and humour of the original, but it did have a couple of ties to the other films. Don't expect anything too deep or meaningful and you should enjoy it.

First off, I always try to finish what I start, but this book just wasn't worth it. I only got 3/4 of the way through. <s>The LotR fanfiction I found was much more interesting.</s>

Anyways, this book has lots of flaws: Main character is too Mary-Sue-ish and whiny, one of the characters keeps spouting astrology BS every single chapter, too many cliches, and the author does not seem to understand that fey are more than just pixies.

Now, if you want a GOOD book involving fey that takes place in the modern-day, try The Iron King by Julie Kagawa, not this one.

This was one of the few book series that I obsessively read and instantly loved. The romance isn't fast paced, there's historical facts that are interesting, and Maniscalco really knew how to captivate not just me, but other readers too (I got my friend obsessed with this series as well).
I will say, its not for those who don't like the extreme detail on violence and gore, but if you're a fan of crime novels and topics such as Jack the Ripper, then you ought to love this book!
I'm so glad I found this book and would happily recommend this to many people.
