This was awesome! I've been watching the show for years, but I never read the comic even though I knew that's what it was based on. And people kept saying how good it was, but I read so many other things that I just never had a chance to check out. But I got this free trial on Comixology and thought, why not? And let me tell you, I am hooked, I think I read this in a day and it's a comic book so it's not like it takes longs to read anyway but I found it hard to focus on other things when all I wanted to do was read this. It's exactly like the show, and of course I know this came first, but it's kind of cool to read this after watching the show to see how true they stayed to the story. I've started Volume 2 already and I'm pretty sure I'm going to finish this quickly as well. Before long, I might be caught on the comics like I am with the show.

I wouldn't say I loved this book but it is definitely a fantastic thriller. It's full of twists and is a rollercoaster of emotions the whole way through. The reason I say I didn't love it is simply because I had an idea of the big twist soon into the book but that may be because I read a lot of thriller books and enjoy puzzles.
There is also no real explanation into their decision to become homicidal weirdos disguised as a regular married couple.
However, I did enjoy reading it. I still found myself hanging onto every word, holding my breath trying to guess what was happening next. There is many twists throughout the book that I didn't see coming aswell. I couldn't put it down!!! Despite knowing I should give myself a break to collect my thoughts and calm my nerves.
It was very well written and I will be buying her new book which I believe was released last week! Thank you Smashbomb for the giveaway and allowing me to find this hidden gem!

As you may be aware, I am a Reflections Fan. I read book one and was drawn in. By book 2 I was completely hooked and just found myself further enthralled with Alec and Adri as the story continued. So I'll admit to being torn about this set. I loved Reflections and wasn't sure if I even wanted to read an alternate storyline. But then my curiosity kicked in and I started reading it. As always with Dean Murray's books, I ended up staying awake a lot longer than I intended as I "just read one more chapter".
The story is certainly darker than the original series, hence the "Dark Reflections" series title. You see familiar faces in unfamiliar conditions and surroundings. Some of the things that happen in Reflections don't or haven't happened here. On the whole, it is a brand new look at the wolf pack of Sanctuary and of the shifter world in general.
I really enjoyed this book, almost against my own desires, and am looking forward to reading more in this series. I think it will be very interesting to find out how Adri and Alec will meet up this time. If you like Reflections, then definitely give Dark Reflections a chance.

Some of the things that happen in Reflections don't or haven't happened here. On the whole, it is a brand new look at the wolf pack of Sanctuary and of the shifter world in general.
I really enjoyed this book, almost against my own desires, and am looking forward to reading more in this series. I think it will be very interesting to find out how Adri and Alec will meet up this time. If you like Reflections, then definitely give Dark Reflections a chance.

Unusual take on a classic story
This story follows the ups and downs of Peter Pan before the conventional stories with Wendy that we all know from Disney. Christina Henry has a knack of showing the darker side of what is a classic story. Even though it focuses on the life of children I feel like it still has a very adult feel.
I first found this amazing author when reading her book 'Alice' and have since read all of her books.
If you want to read a fantasy novel that is unusual then this is the book for you.

"I don't hate it, I don't love it. I don't like the writing style, I don't dislike the writing style. I'm not sure if I like it, but I can't seem to stop reading it. I'm very confused. Also, this book is giving me huge 'Alice in Wonderland' vibes!"
As you can see from the update I have copied and pasted, I wasn't quite sure what to think of Furthermore. In fact, I felt a bit like Alice, lost and confused, a bit stiff in what I like to read. I'm not certain if I should give Furthermore 3 stars or 4 stars; then again, I also wonder if I should give it 2 stars. I have never, in all my life, been so confounded. Even now, after having finished it and trying to come up with a review three days later, I'm left speechless. It wasn't "edge of your seat" exciting or "page turning" mysterious, but there's just something about the story that makes me refuse to say I didn't like it - even if I'm not quite sure I did. The story as a whole was pretty entertaining, though there moments I felt just as confused as Alice was and I didn't quite appreciate that (of course, that was most likely Tahereh's point). I would promise myself to stop at the next chapter, because as I read it, I wanted to stop. Yet, when the next chapter would come, I found myself unable to quit. I suppose you could say the magic of Furthermore wrapped itself around me and compelled me to finish the book.
Because I have never had such a reaction to a book before - and because I was actually excited at the prospect that there may be another book, what with the way this one ended - I think I'm going to give it a 3.5 rating. Because of my doubt, uncertainty, and unwillingness to decide if I truly liked it or not, I can't give it 4 stars. So, there you have it. Do what you can with the mess that lives inside my brain whenever I try to figure Furthermore out.

Yes I'm giving it four stars and I don't care what you all say!! I laughed on more than one occasion and found it an amusing lift to my day... so ptttttttttttttt to all you misery guts who are saying it's terrible.
The only bad bit about the film was having to share the cinema with children on half term... although I was highly entertained when the 12 year old girl in front of me who had been snapchatting for 50% of the films dropped her phone on the floor.
It's daft humour and it really lifted my spirits, and those are the best movies to have. Even if the CGI panda and tiger were a little terrible.
To sum it up, this movie is basically Rush Hour with dogs. That alone should make you want to see it.

Quick read

I hadn't really given the Science Fiction genre a fair chance, so I decided that this would be a "starter" book. I figured since it was Book 1 of a series, I'd either love this book enough to get the next 2 or just abandon all hope for the genre.
I am happy to say that I found this book action-packed and exciting with a unique plot.
Well developed characters bring you into the story and make you actually care what happens to them.
The thought of humans having their minds transferred into AI robots (as well as other objects) is amazing and frightening all at the same time...especially when it is for the purpose of defeating a lab-created AI that has gone rogue with an objective to annihilate the human race!
I am happy to say that I found this book action-packed and exciting with a unique plot.

The book started off a little slow and I wasn't quite sure if I was going to enjoy it. You're thrown right into a world that leaves you slightly confused. Is this modern day or are we in a more technologically advanced future? The world we step into is modern, with a few alterations like an "EED". They're a focal-point of this novel, so it would have been nice to have some backstory there since they're not something we're familiar with. Once you get over that hurdle, the book becomes much more enjoyable. I was surprised after the rocky beginning that I found myself engrossed in the book and spent more than one night reading significantly past my normal bedtime. The ending felt a little rushed and could have been done better. Ultimately the concept was fascinating and I would definitely read a sequel.
