"I cannot stop watching this film. I’ve tried. Yet Wes Anderson has created a fairy-tale world that is so timeless and awkwardly comfortable. Bill Murray and Jason Schwartzman portray one of the most endearing duos in years, with an ensemble of memorable characters surrounding them. Full of hilarious dialogue, a pristine song score, and Anderson’s imaginative eye—this will restore anyone’s faith in American independent filmmaking."

Wonderful imaginative character development. Better than many similar storylines (0 more)
No sequel and less than original concept (0 more)
Set in Oregon, but way cooler to visit than Portland
Full story that ends nicely, with a nerd champion who's behavior and perspectives are realistic and attainable. Makes you question modern games in ways Enders Game or similar stories have not. Also, if you do the audiobook, Wil Wheaton narrates, and he's a wonderful narrator.

Interesting setting and time frame/newly imagined world (0 more)
Predictable love story that's been overplayed (0 more)
Overall, the story didn't start to irritate me until the end and to be fair it was left with the opportunity for a more interesting sequel. I was just really impressed with it's strong, imaginative opening and then disillusioned with the cliche ending. Despite just an "okay" review, I still might give the second book a go.

One of my favorite books of all time
There are really no words to describe this book. It is everything you could want in a book and more. The universe is so incredibly imaginative and every single thing that has been developed in this world is so well thought out and created. The story has its laughs and it’s intense moments. The narrator is perfect and it’s just everything you want in a story.

"A friend of mine recommended it as a good introduction to comic book reading for adults, and I latched onto it. It’s Romeo and Juliet passion meets Star Wars epic and Game of Thrones provocativeness but with sharp and witty dialogue and incredibly imaginative illustration. My favorite character: Lying Cat: a cat that, instead of meowing, says, ‘lying’ every time someone lies in its presence – now that’s a superpower I would want!"

While I know the premise of the story (thanks Wishbone) I had never read it or watched the movies. I never realized it was a satire nor that it was written 300yrs ago. It surprisingly keeps up. A very imaginative tale, if a bit long. I wish I knew a bit more about England's history
At this time because I know I missed more than a few references; endnotes helped. Worth reading at least once.

I love this, this is such an easy watch that you can't put down. eveything about it is so silly and funny that you just enjoy each episode, The different stories and plots with creature creation and all so imaginative. What makes this funnier is that the voice actor for rick is actually drunk for his performances as Rick

Imaginative new fantasy series
I think this author is really on to something. This book was an exciting coming of age story set in a magical world. When the youth fails to live up to their potential they're thrust into a dangerous environment meant to activate their powers. In the darkness they'll need to work together to fight innumerable enemies in hopes of escape.

I'm really looking forward to reading the next installment.

"I saw this film when it first came out in the very early ’60s. It’s a chronicle of a decadent society full of Fellini’s incredibly inventive and imaginative imagery. It’s the story of a Roman journalist struggling between producing something meaningful in his life and drifting along a path of total emptiness. I was very young when I saw the film. I was completely inspired by the combination of such beautiful photography and the sad and powerful story."

I absolutely love Erin Morgensterns writing, I just don't know how she comes up with these wonderful concepts. I loved the Night Circus but I must say this was even better. The concept was so clever and I really fell in love with the characters even the bad guys. I didn't see the ending coming and finished the book feeling numb.
