Twist after twist in this gripping thriller
There have been a few spoilers out there comparing this book to a certain film which unfortunately ruins the ending for some who make the connection. As a result I was aware of the major plot twist from the beginning. That being said, Sebastian Fitzek's thriller is gripping, as we're unable to separate psychosis from reality. A well known psychiatrist has taken some time off to grieve his missing daughter. Out of no where a mysterious woman named Anna Glass turns up on this remote island getaway. But is she trustworthy?

The ending has a twist on top of the climax which leaves you spiralling. An eerie but good mystery.

Good to see some Wonder Woman stories coming out now!
Fast paced, exciting YA
Ok, I'll admit I was surprised at how much I liked this. I thought it would be a re-hash of the recent film (which I really enjoyed), but it's a whole new story - a prequel, I suppose.
Diana sneaks away from Themiscara with a girl that she has saved from a boating accident. The girls presence on the island starts a chain of natural disasters, so Diana helps her to leave with help from the Oracle, who also lets her into some very interesting information about the girl.
A very exciting, fast moving story.

I want to be an Amazon
The opening of this film was spectacular. the use of athletes as amazon was genious and worked better than anything CGI could produce. I truley was excited by this film and then they left the Island.

Unfortunely I found the middle to be far to long didnt feel a great connection between Diana and Steve on boat or in London. Honestly if those scence where a lot shorter I would of given this film a 10/10. however they kept the length and for me it ruined the film. The last half hour was great and the opening was stunning.

The Cgi for the Shark was great
A decent Shark thriller
A good film with a battle of wits and survival. The Beach location is beautiful, shot at Lord Howe Island off the coast of Australia, and the Sfx were good in most scenes. I was impressed with the Cgi for the Shark, it looked more realistic than many other Shark films over the past 20 years. It is one big mean Shark, although some of the action scenes are a bit over the top. Overall a good film for a simple premise. On the DVD you get extras on Shark attacks, the location for the Beach scenes, and how they designed the Shark.

Cheesy to the very end but immensely successful and spawning a sequel, Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again this very summer. 2008’s Mamma Mia was one of the most profitable musicals of all time with an all-star cast including Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan. With the entire wedding-themed movie set on an idyllic Greek island, it was inevitable that the ceremony itself would be absolutely stunning. It was, with a church perched high on a hill and a lovely reception in which Amanda Seyfriend’s Sophie could relish in the love of her friends, mum and (spoiler alert), her three dads.

JURASSIC PARK (the good one)
Back in 1993 Steven Spielberg breathed life into everybody's childhood obsession with dinosaurs with ground breaking CGI during its release which still holds up today.

Jurassic park is story of a mans dream to bring back the Jurassic age on an (presumably) uninhabited island. After inviting his grandchildren, Dr alan Grant an archaeologist, ellie satler another archaeologist and ian malcolm who's just along for the ride to witness this ground-breaking creation, they quickly become endangered when the parks security parameters fail and they have to outrun and out smart their way to safety with a dinosaur at every turn, and a kitchen scene you'll never forget (that's right, kitchen!)

Tom Trelawney's parents have just dumped him with an uncle he hardly knows. But Uncle Harvey is planning a trip to Peru to follow a treasure map he's just uncovered. Tom talks his way into the trip, but they have hardly landed when they run afoul of the most notorious crook in the country. Can they stay one step ahead of him and find the treasure. Another young adult novel, and another fun, wild ride. I did feel the characters could use a bit more development, but the target audience will love it.

Book #1 in the Bay Island Psychic mystery series.

This paranormal cozy mystery was really mostly cozy, with just a touch of paranormal, but that was fine with me. I loved the protagonist, Cass. She and her friends were very well developed, and felt like a group of people I’d like to get to know. The mystery itself was well written and full of surprises. It took me a few chapters to get really sucked in, but once I did, I couldn’t put it down. This was a great way to start a series – I’ll be watching for book #2!
