Something is in the Mist
Personally I thought this was excellent! Heard little about it before seeing it, but once I heard it is based on a Stephen King story I had to check it out. It certainly is typical Stephen King stuff, weird and wonderful. A mix of Cloverfield and the Fog. If you haven't seen it go check it out!
The DVD has the option to watch it in black and white.

"My brother had that record and it was one of the first I heard outside of what my parents were listening to and I just couldn’t believe how great it was. If you’ve ever listened to that record, every single song is a smash. It has groove, it has colour, it has melody and there’s so much dimension and depth to it. I don’t recall the last time I listened to it but after talking to you I might just go and do it..."

A bit confusing
A short while into the film you think it's the end... Where is it going from here? Is the thought I had... Then you get the "ohhh I get it" moment but then instead of explaining things it gets slightly random with the main characters friends/family getting involved and it gets a bit muddled... It tries to explain things but it makes it more confusing as to, how, why, when and what the.....

Maybe I was not concentrating enough and it is just me, but it promised something yet didn't deliver...

"The Night of the Hunter was Charles Laughton?s only film as a director and its poor reception pretty much killed his directing career. It?s a remarkable debut and there?s no other film quite like it. It?s very reliant on imager from back in the days of D.W. Griffith and it?s strikingly designed and extremely dark. I saw it at a kiddie matinee when I was a child and I was just terrified. It has such a fairy tale atmosphere about it that it probably speaks more directly to children than it does to adults."

It was all the words I put in the heading of my rating. I loved Andrew Garfield in it as the main character. I think he did an AMAZING job playing the role of Desmond T Doss. It is rated R but I really liked it. I was leery about it because it's rated R, which I am about ALL rated R movies but I really enjoyed it. Sam Worthington is also in it. He plays the lead male character in AVATAR. I think he did a really good job in it too. It also stars Teresa Palmer who is also in The Choice. Overall, I really enjoyed it! I would watch it again AND HAVE!

The story-line and concept were great, but I'm not sure it was executed correctly. It was entertaining while I was reading it, but it didn't make me want to read the next one in the series.

In this book's defense, I rented it from the library via my Nook, thinking it was one of her mysteries. I was mistaken. Still, it was a painful read. (And yet I finished it. There you go.)
