CGI s attention to detail
James Corden
Slapstick Comedy
A must see family film
Dont get me wrong, its possible that it may not win many awards. As a family film is very enjoyable for both kids and adults. The attention to detail was amazing and some of the one liners had both kids and adults laughing together. For adults one big problem may arise, your kids may want rabbits as pets now ?

Merissa (12128 KP) rated Guardian Core (Sky Stone #2) in Books
May 20, 2023
The second book in the series takes us back to the world of the Sky Guardians, with Skyla and Aaron. This is once again a book filled with action and emotion, with characters that jump out at you whether you like them (James) or not (May). May is an essential part of this story, but I just couldn't warm to her. James, on the other hand, has an integral role but I liked his character straight away.
With kidnap, heartbreak, a residence for the Sky Guardians, plus lots more, this book is filled from start to finish. With the story moving along at a fair pace, it builds to the climax and ends with a positive. It isn't all simple though, and Skyla has her work cut out for her.
A wonderful young adult fantasy to read and enjoy, definitely recommended.
* I received this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review. *

graveyardgremlin (7194 KP) rated Much Ado About You (Essex Sisters, #1) in Books
Feb 15, 2019
Much Ado About You was a lovely historical romance. Eloisa James' writing has an almost lyrical lilt to it that is fresh and delightful. The story was nicely told and paced, and felt more true-to-life than others I've read in the same genre. Tess was a wonderful and likable heroine who was smart, witty and confident. I look forward to future installments and can't wait for Imogen to grow up and mature. All along the book reminded me a bit of Little Women, even though I've never read it and only seen the film version with Winona Ryder, and in the back of the book Ms. James acknowledges that she was inspired by Louisa May Alcott. My only quibble would be that Lucius could have been more fleshed out and the end seemed a bit abrupt. Other than that, I really enjoyed this quick and easy foray into Eloisa James' charming and witty world of the Essex sisters.

It May Be Dawn, But The Sun Shines For This Film
I loved this film as much as the first and falls in the rare category of sequel as good as the original,
All the way through the story, if the apes and humans just spoke to each other and were honest. Everything would have ended nicely and quicker

Suswatibasu (1702 KP) rated Vertigo (1958) in Movies

A quiet masterpiece
This was Hitchcock's more subtle films, although it was a flop at the time, I think it's still a quiet masterpiece. It's claustrophobic watching James Stewart follow around an enigmatic woman, becoming obsessed with an image of her, only to realise he's chasing an illusion. The twist at the end is pretty brilliant leaving the viewer slightly spellbound by what happened. While it may not be as harrowing as Psycho, it's still a treat to watch.

May the force be with you
So just finished this shortly after seeing the two series of The Mandalorian. Thankfully this is more in keeping with the feel of the 2nd series of The Mandalorian.
It's on a big scale, big battles and sets and most importantly key characters are back. The overall cast is very good but it's a big difference to have the actors from the films showing again. Very glad James Earl Jones is the voice of Vader again.
Set 10 years after The Revenge of the Sith it sits nicely between that and A New Hope. If you are a Star Wars fan I can't see how you cannot like this.
