I should have known that the Jaws film with the coolest poster would be the shittest.
On paper, a movie about Sheriff Brodys widowed wife sharing a psychic connection with a shark that's personally out to get her, is potential B-Movie hilarity, but sadly, it's painfully boring, with a shark that somehow looks even worse that the one in Jaws 3D. It even roars like a fucking dinosaur. It has nothing better to do than rip off scenes from the first movie, and in some instances, literally copy and paste from it. Not even Michael Caine can save this big pile of wank.

A great mix of action, horror and good special effects with some humour as well. Top popcorn viewing material. One of the best Shark films even now!

A half decent made for TV film starring Gary Busey as a sheriff of a small town with an escaped Tiger on the loose. It has some pretty gory make up scenes, surprised it's a PG?! Very much a Jaws on land and not too be taken seriously.

This movie has a decent cast, however the premise is quite daft for this shark horror.
It's quite predictable until 'that memorable scene' which keeps this movie in viewers memory longer than it should be.
It's a reasonably entertaining watch in fairness and filled the void left after 'Jaws'

A deserving classic
Jaws is a film I've seen many years ago but haven't in quite a while, and it really is the classic it's made out to be.

Watching it now it is does admittedly look a little dated. But I think this is part of the film's charm. The shark is hilarious and yet still pretty scary at the same time, and for an animatronic it is very good for the time it was made. It does remind me a lot of the Jaws ride at Universal Studios as the animatronics are virtually identical. The score is rightly infamous and really builds the tension and suspense in those underwater scenes. There is some dodgy acting (although Dreyfuss and Scheider are brilliant) and it does feel like it's drawn out a little at times. However despite this there's a reason why no other shark film released to date has managed to live up to the renown and success of Jaws. This is without a doubt a classic - i just wish they hadn't gotten rid of the ride at Universal!

An all start cast and how the cgi makes this movie better than Jaws when it comes to the shark looking realistic. (0 more)
Jumpscares were a tad lack luster and the story line to get Jason Stathams character a new girlfriend confused me. It's a horror/thriller. (0 more)
Favourite movie of 2018!

Steven Spielberg’s first true blockbuster is one that has been copied but where those films tried and failed to replicate this formula, Jaws remains at the pinnacle of shark attack cinema. Filmed on a tiny budget, this iconic classic had people absolutely terrified of swimming in a pool, never mind out in the open ocean.

The special effects are crude by today’s standards but the cleverly positioned camera means the shark is rarely seen on screen for more than a couple of minutes and John William’s excellent score remains a cinema highlight for many. For films set at sea, Jaws just can’t be eaten.

Absolute rubbish!
These sharks are not just opportunist attackers they will actually go out of their way to hunt you down! Codswallop. Jaws made sharks out to be the terrorists of the seas but at least it had a storyline. This film just made me laugh even though it wasn't a comedy!
