With Shock and Awe on DVD and Digital HD today, we checked out the movie over the weekend, the new movie starring Woody Harrelson, Rob Reiner, James Marsden, Jessica Biel and Tommy Lee Jones is based around the time that the term ‘Weapons of Mass Destruction‘ was very much on the lips of many in 2003.
With America on the very edge of a horrific war with Iraq, Shock and Awe is the true story of how the very phrase was twisted with shocking effect.

One of those multi-layered, character films, whose lives overlap in one way or another. It has a fine cast, including Patrick Swayze's last role along side Ray Liotta, Forest Whitaker. However it will be more well known for the film where Jessica Biel plays the part of an "exotic dancer" and strips off. It's main theme is one of loneliness, despair and seeking companionship. It's ok but some story lines are weaker than others and the ending seems a little rushed. Overall ok for a one time watch.

Great story
Must watch TV
A truly binge worthy TV programme that will whizz by at just 8 episodes long. I had heard many good reviews for this and highly rated by TV critics as well. It has a very good gripping storyline that will hook you in. As slowly more is revealed over time and in flashbacks why an apparently random act of violence has a lot more to it. Great acting from the leads as well. If you like crime thrillers then check this out!

Hmmm ... I'm not really sure what to say about this.
Other than it stars Nicolas Cage (who doens't go as overboard in this as he normally does), Jessica Biel and Julianne Moore, and is based on a short story by prolific sci-fi author Philip K Dick (who wrote works that become the basis for both Total Recall (based on "We Can Remember it for You Wholesale") and Blade Runner (based on "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep"), to namedrop but two), with Nic as a Las Vegas magician who can see no further than 2 minutes into his own future.
Except where it concerns Jessica Biel's character (who he has not yet met as the film begins).
Decent enough premise, then, with some decent enough action scenes - even if they won't blow you away - and a decent enough twist ending (even if I want to know what happens Next).
In fact, maybe that single word sums it up: Decent.
Not spectacular.

Great acting (1 more)
Interesting concept
Slow beginning (2 more)
Unsatisfying ending
Uneeded characters and plot points
As far as concepts go, this was a very interesting one. When I started watching I was really excited to see how they would use this concept. However, I wasn't impressed with the result.
I feel like a few characters in this were not used to their greatest potential and this made the story suffer. They focused on characters who were predictable and were usually ditched an episode later. Same with plots points. I would really have loved to explore Jd's and his ex's history a bit more.
Jessica Biel did really well playing the innocent and naive woman though.

You Can't Fly a Tank, Fool!
The A-Team- is good, i know alot of people didnt like this film, but I did. Its fun, action packed, suspenseful and thrilling.
The plot: A man who loves when a plan comes together, Hannibal Smith (Liam Neeson) leads a close-knit team of elite operatives. Framed for a terrible crime, Smith and his men go rogue, using their special talents to clear their names and find the perpetrator. Hot on their trail is Charissa Sosa (Jessica Biel), who was once involved with a member of Smith's team and has sworn to capture them, no matter what it takes.
I do recordmend watching this film.

Sweet but Forgettable
This movie is sweet. A bit cringy at times. But sweet. I definitely have a soft spot for Gerard Butler and I do love Jessica Biel. I think there are chunks of the movie that are just unnecessary, but I think that's to be expected with a movie like this one. I feel like I've seen this movie before but I can't remember. According to my Netflix, I've watched it before but I had no recollection of that or what the film was about so I guess that goes to show how memorable it is. I doubt I'll ever watch it again, but I'm not mad I watched it.

Good Sfx (1 more)
Good cast
A very decent film in it's own right, and no it's not a straight remake! If you watch the first film again today it sure does look dated now. The main theme or plot is similar but put into a different context and setting altogether. The technology you see in the film was very interesting as well and there is plenty of action and very good SFX. It has a few nods towards the old film but seems to borrow elements from a number of Sci-Fi films including Blade Runner, especially for the look of the city. Even Star Wars Attack of the clones, Robocop. Throw in Jessica Biel and Kate Beckinsale, it's not a bad way to treat your eyes for 2 hours!

What Noise Does a Chainsaw Make? Remake
This remake is actually good, its different but its good. Its the first time in the franchise to actully go into a slaughterhouse. Which amazes me.
The Plot: In this remake of the horror classic, a group of young travelers -- including Erin (Jessica Biel), Andy (Mike Vogel) and Morgan (Jonathan Tucker) -- comes across an isolated rural home while driving through Texas. Unfortunately for them, the decrepit house is the residence of a family of deranged backwoods killers, most notably a hulking masked brute known as Leatherface (Andrew Bryniarski), who begins to hunt the stranded youths down. Will any of the friends survive the nightmarish ordeal?
Yes this is the first Platinum Dune's horror remakes. Thnkz Michael Bay.
Anyways I do reccordmend watching this film.
