"Firefly or Serenity (the movie)… that was a really good show. I was really into Buffy and Angel, and when I was done watching them I was really bummed about it being over, and I’m like “I can’t believe I’ve watched them all, what’s next?” My buddy said “Hey, the guy who created that, Joss Whedon, also created a different show, called Firefly.” So I watched that and there were only a few episodes, one season, but they made the movie, which was amazing. I’m just super into sci-fi."

Avengers Assembled is a film filled with amazing performances, great special effects and fantastic direction from long-time comic-book fan, Joss Whedon. He manages to craft a great film and considering the size of the cast, that’s no easy feat.

It lets itself down throughout the finale in which the audience is subjected to a Transformers-style alien invasion across New York City that could have been lifted straight out of any Michael Bay-directed flick. A great end to Phase One of the MCU, but not the classic everyone remembers it being.

Finding its feet, worth a watch
I remember loving Buffy when I watched it on TV, I was 15ish then. I recently rewatched this, I still liked it, although it does have its flaws. The characters can be annoying but this is balanced with a really good idea. Joss Whedon has created a fantastic world, it truly is amazing. This is the first season, having already watched the others I already know that it just keeps getting better and the characters less annoying. If you are new to Buffy, keep watching, the series develops a depth but it takes a couple of seasons.

A movie you can really sink your teeth into
Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a horror/comedy about a high school cheerleader who learns that it is her destiny to hunt vampires.
juggling being a student/cheerleader & Training to hunt & kill the undead proves to be a little more stressfull as the final hour draws closer.
A fun light hearted yet dark themed Classic.


 The movie was a moderate success at the box office but garnered mixed reviews by critics.

taken in a different direction than writer Joss Whedon intended, five years later, he created the darker, more successful TV series of the same name.
