ALPHA'S MOON is the first book in the Dirigo Pack series and what a start!!!

Sheridan is a hybrid - wolf father and witch mother, accepted by neither 'camp'. After her parents die, she is left alone in the world but survives. She doesn't trust easily, especially if they are in one of the two camps mentioned above. So what is she to do when her friend's brother says they are mates?

I loved this book! Although the instant mate connection was there, Kane and Sheridan worked their way through it, allowing their relationship to grow. I adored how Kane was determined to give Sheridan the space she needed, even going against his parents and the Pack to do so. It's easy to fall back on old habits, but Sheridan and Kane learn from them and move forward.

There's a bit of something for everyone here, with betrayal, mystery, and political machinations. I thought the whole story was bound together brilliantly, and I would LOVE to see more of Isaac.

An amazing start to the series and I can't wait for more. Absolutely recommended by me.

Missing beats happen in a fraction of time. For Jo and Kane they changed their lives in ways neither could have ever imagined.

To Jo, rock stars = Fame. Money. Music. Sex. A lifestyle she literally has no respect for.
Josie Carmichael's no rock star.
She's not even famous and she doesn't particularly like musicians, but when a boy from her childhood reconnects unexpectedly, her life is put on hold.

With opposing lifestyles and conflicted feelings for the special boy she used to know and the sexy-as-sin man Kane is now, will she ever find common ground?

Strangers as adults with a strong childhood bond, Josie and Kane's world becomes closer than either of them could ever have fathomed.

This brings emotional challenges beyond anything they could ever prepare for, or have imagined.

Run of the mill Slasher
I had high hopes after hearing good reviews for this. Unfortunately it's pretty standard low budget slasher stuff. For a short film it's slow to get going and then just goes through the motions to an abrupt ending. The man playing Charlie is a beast to make Kane Hodder look small. The gore effects are pretty good. Feels very similar to the Hatchet films.

Tagged as an old school American horror this definitely felt like watching an older horror film along the lines of Friday the 13th. However mixed with some very over the top gore from more recent horror films and you get this. Featuring cameos from Robert Englund, Tony Todd and Kane Hodder. There are plenty of jokes, gore and all the other ingredients that horror fans love about slasher films in this.

"I think I’d be lying if I didn’t say Apocalypse Now. It’s like Godfather, Citizen Kane. Those are the kind of ones that get thrown away all the time. But if you go to a real proper movie theater, I even love… I’ll pick Apocalypse Now Redux. If you see that last release version up on a big screen, you crank up the music, that is a life-changing experience."

"This mesmerizingly brilliant film noir was Orson Welles’ last Hollywood movie. Dumped into second feature playdates, it’s finally become more popular than Citizen Kane. It was recut and reshot by the studio but a longer preview version surfaced a few years ago and is preferable to the well-meaning but bogus “reconstruction” edit which seems to be the extant version. Both are available on the dvd box set."

"You couldn’t get away with making that movie today. It’s wild. It’s a wild film, and it’s the great American dream gone wrong. It’s Citizen Kane on its ass. It’s a man who comes from nothing and builds a world and loses an empire and finds love. I mean, it’s a huge movie; and absolutely insane. I watch that several times a year — it’s a go-to on the road."

"Citizen Kane I saw when I was… My dad used to take me to the arthouse theaters, and I grew up on these movies. I was watching Citizen Kane when I was like eight years old, and I just watched it again. I watched it at night and I watched it the next day, and that is the best movie ever made. Nothing really ever comes close to it, and even now, the editing today doesn’t match. I don’t know if Welles did it, but I know he had total authority on the film, and then they took it away from him for The Magnificent Ambersons, and even now, in terms of performance, in terms of film editing, in terms of the cinematography, in terms of the music, all of it just came together perfectly, and it has never really been challenged in any way. I think it stays as fresh today as it ever was."

It's for Kids
Look, it's not Citizen Kane. But kids movies are usually not great, and kids Christmas movies are especially bad. This was actually enjoyable, especially because of the voice acting.

If you are an adult, I can't recommend watching more than once. But as a parent, I look forward to watching this over the Jim Carey version ever year.
