Watched last night on blu ray and in colour and loved everything about from the script the setting a prison the doctor played by Jon pertwee in his element now into his second season as the doctor. But let's not forget to mention the villain of the story the main villain of the entire season the master as played by rodger delgardo most doctor who fans will tell he was the first and probably the best master of all time he gives the role gravitas he can be both charming and then totally evil at the same time its shame he died in tragic car accident while on filming abroad . anyway still good story some nice action scenes near the end Katy manning is brilliant as jo grant in only her second story let's not forget unit always realied on to come to the rescue. Wont mention the dodgy looking dragon at the end of episode 2

What a conflux of good and bad this is. First the cast... Anthony Stuart Head is fantastic, and Katy Manning makes Iris a hurricane to deal with. Peter Davison raises his bemused Doctor to the occasion to deal with the two of them. The plot is interesting, and fun to listen to, (mainly due to the characters on display) but while it sets up Excelis to be interesting, it's not a place we really want to return to once this one is done. So you're my replacements a dandy and a clown
Made to celebrate the first ten years of doctor who and to bring back the first two doctors William Hartnell and Patrick troughton in my opinion it's brilliant it's a shame William Hartnells role was reduced due to illness but still manages to give one last performance. which gives Patrick troughton one of best performances as the doctor showing us he's still got it and his banter with the thrid doctor at first frosty but over time mellowed. Stephen Thornes performence as omega is perfect showing a calm side then madness at a drop of a hat. Also watched in hd which makes it just as good as when it was shown 1973
