Book Tour: Loreena's Gift by Colleen M. Story This is a story about a girl with a special talent. She gets into quite a few bad things. She finds out what her brother gets into. If she can ever get him out? She loves her brother so much that she does something to save him.
She's then pulled into a sinner kind of a life. In the process, she may have found her love of her life. Tough to survive, she got to do something that is within her power and a secret.
Can she save her brother and herself or will she die as well? Her life in the afterlife is different than when she's out of the afterlife.
The author does get your attention and pulls you in. Have ever been wondering what it's like in your afterlife? You can see what it's like by reading this. Is it different for each living person? That is still not answered for it really could be.

Jessica - Where the Book Ends (15 KP) rated Very Wicked Beginnings (Briarcrest Academy, #1.5) in Books

This book was a complete surprise to me! I had no idea this book was coming (which was the point obviously). In this book we got the back story that we needed to fully understand the actions, behaviors, and choices that were made in Very Wicked Things. This book shows us how Dovey and Cuba meet.
When Cuba first saw Dovey dance it was love at first sight, which we all knew, but of course he didn't get the idea through his thick skull until a little later, which is okay.
This book was a great addition to this series, and I hope we see more like it in the future. I really enjoy novellas because they give you that extra look into the lives of the characters and maybe explain some of the more obvious whys behind everything.
You don't have to read this in order to read Very Wicked Things, but if you're like me and want to get your hands on every possible book in the series, I would recommend it.

The Mob, romance and favors.....
The Mob, romance and favors
Julia is a young, beautiful widow.....a product of Mob life and misfortune. She has a strong personality and knows that she doesn't want to be part of that life. I like how she's quite relatable, many of us want to avoid taking the same path as our parents in one way or another and that's what Julia is doing.
Domenico is hot! Another child of the Mob but never a made man. He's smart, successful, strong family bonds and bowled over by Julia.
A Favor for a Favor creates an Italian/American world full of intrigue and romance. I couldn't put the book down for long before I was drawn back to it and I'm still thinking about it now. Each time I thought I was nearly done something else happened, another puzzle piece was slipped back in....love it!
So, if you like to have something that keeps you guessing, has murder, romance and surprises then look no further.

Love/Hate Relationship with this Novel
I both like and hate this book. I like the storyline it has great potential but it fell flat for me. Here's why: The point of view jumped around way too much. I thought the idea of changing point of view was good except the execution sucked. It went from one to another so hard I got whiplash and it kind of takes you out of the story trying to figure out who's part of the story you're following. The second thing that stuffed it up was the way it was written. I get that the people in it are kids they're all 18 and under but the way they thought was painful. I mean they crawl out of a hole in the damn ground all bloodied and totally f**ked up and she's worried about her hair? F**k off with that s**t. I don't care how old you are there's no way you'd be worried about that type of crap at that point. It's so shallow it hurts. The last thing is, wtf is with Cassie getting all sappy over Ben? The guy you're sort of dating might be dead and Ben kisses you and you get all mushy about it? Are you f**king kidding me? I'm sorry but you'd have a bullet in your head if it were me. I'm going to give the rest of the series a chance but at this point I'm not hopeful....

Wow. Just an incredible, near-perfect zombie movie!
I had heard a lot about this movie, I just never took the time to watch it. Man, what was I waiting for? I went in expecting a traditional zombie movie, and in a way, that's what I got. But this film is so much more. The acting is very girl (seriously, can that little girl stop tearing my heart apart?). The characters are full and you care about each of them. Some you love. Some you despise with every fiber of your being. The world feels real and functional. There really never was a dull moment. The movie grips you early and leaves you an emotional wreck after its thrilling climax.
I feel like any words I could write cannot relay how much I enjoyed this movie, and look forward to any future stories from this world that may be on the horizon. If you haven't seen it yet, do yourself a favor. Don't wait and watch it now.
