Historical Romance Regency
I loved these stories. I’m a huge fan of fairytales, myths and legends - they’re most definitely not just stories for children, as these dark and often disturbing stories prove. In fact, these short tales are just like the original fairy tales, in that people are tricked, driven to madness and die (but not ALL the time!).
The seemingly separate stories gives the reader more insight to the world of the Silken Folk, and the overarching story of the Lacewing King was just perfection. The beautiful artwork by Charles Vess really does make this a very special book, and I’m going to be sad to see it go back to the library!
I’d highly recommend this wonderful book.

Kevin Phillipson (10072 KP) rated The Walking Dead - Season 2 in TV
Nov 8, 2022
On with the review itself as I'm on the last few episodes of season 2 and boy probably one of my favourite seasons more episodes this season after only six new characters hershel and Maggie and the farm where the season takes place of course got to mention the walkers as well especially the make up team who've created there look. My favourite character of the season goes to Shane played brillianty by Jon bernthal as u watch his decent into madness thruout all 13 episodes I can see why he was chosen to play the punisher for marvel. Overall good season bring on the governor next season

Destiny (8 KP) rated George's Marvellous Medicine in Books
Jan 5, 2018
How it’s written: From George’s perspective, you get to see how awful his grandmother is and his hilarious remedy for it. Then read as the madness continues when it’s time to give grandma more medicine.
What I like about this book: For me, it was one of the funniest things I had read up to that point. My own grandma would say rude things to me and my sisters, which I guess is why I was drawn to this book. A combination of the hilarious writing and the wonderful plot had me absorbed by this book when I was young.
Final Thoughts: There is always something so ridiculous and curious about Roald Dahl’s work. He really knew how to make reading fun.
