DUUUUUUUDE okay so the fact that this book took me 3 months to read is in no way indicative of how much I loved this (okay the start was slow and it took me a good 200 pages to get into but this is the first fantasy epic i've read since harry potter so can you blame me???????) once i picked this up again I was hooked with a capital H, I love the premise and I love how carefully Tomi Adeyemi has built this world from the language, to the cities, to the magical lionaires (which i want one of btw) also i may be in love with inan more that I probably should be <spoiker> and it's probably an unpopular opinion for me to really want him and zelie to get together again but i love a good hate to love trope and an angsty boy so here i am.</spoiler> I can't wait for the next book in this series to come out because I NEED MORE ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 STARS 5 STARS 5 STARS

This has been borrowed from the Kindle Unlimited Library.

This is the last book in the series! How am I going to survive without more Kieran and Lexi and co?

Anyway, they are now at the Magical Summit. Kieran is hoping for his place as San Francisco's Demigod to be approved as well as his link to Alexis. In the meantime, every Demigod's minions are prowling the grounds of the ginormous estate looking for battles, including Lexi and co.

This was quite fun. It was clear to see that Lexi and the gang were some of the most skilled fighters in the place. We met some fun characters and some stuff comes out that I hadn't expected, which was great. And then that end bit with Jack. I really do love this group of people.

I don't have the words to express how much I enjoyed this.

And then that bit with the green eyed jinn and Daisy... I'm thinking she may get her own series where that bit will be explored.

Hugely influential unauthorised adaptation of Dracula. Young estate agent's helper Hutter trots off to Transylvania to oversee the sale of a house to the reclusive (and rather repulsive) Count Orlok; Orlok takes a fancy to Hutter's wife; bad things ensue.

Basically just handles the first half of the book, and bolts a different ending on, but you can still see why the Stoker estate sued. Nevertheless, the presentation of Dracula/Orlok as a near-feral atavism is striking (and also much closer to the book than most films get); the film was designed by practising occultists which may explain the carefully composed visual sense of it (also the use of genuine magical script in some of the scenes). Very creepy and effective, though you have to take the age of the thing into account, not to mention the performance styles. Which soundtrack you listen to may also make a big difference (I recommend James Bernard's Hammer-style offering from the late 1990s). One of the great foundational horror films.

How to find the words, because I'm first and foremost saying nothing about the movie, and secondly I'm truly at a loss to find words worthy enough to describe how amazing this movie is and the emotions I felt watching it. Supposedly it had a run time of three hours, but I was so sucked into the movie it went by in a snap; see what I did there? I don't think I realized just how emotionally invested I was in these characters until this movie. The past 11 years and 21 movies has been so truly special. The thought and time put into planning out the MCU universe and connecting every single one of these movies is something magical that has never been done in cinema to this level. We've been by their side in every battle, loved and lost right there with them. All leading up to this moment. I cried, I laughed, and I cried some more. Stan Lee, wherever you are in the ethers of the universe, much love.
