♱♱♱♱ 4 'Beautiful' Stars

Just pick this manga up for the artwork as it is stunning! Absolutely beautiful ❤

I must admit I haven't read the original novel but after reading this I would like to give it a go.

The only negatives I found in this book is that it felt a bit rushed like too much was packed into one volume so things got a bit confusing at times. Maybe reading the novel will clear things up.

To Your Eternity is a strange, but interesting story, coupled with beautiful manga artwork. The premise is that an alien orb is thrown to Earth to find its way in some for of life here. It can not speak, but it can morph into any form. As it goes on its life journey, it evolves as it meets different living creatures. Without major spoilers, I will leave it at that. It's a unique story, but not one for young readers because of some violent illustrations.

If you've read Marie Kondo's original Tidying book (the text version), or even if you haven't, the manga version is a really fun accompaniment. It covers the major tidying tasks, plus it puts it into an easy-to-follow story about a young woman that hires Marie to teach her to tidy her disastrous apartment. It was a quick read, and was fun to see Marie as a drawn character, along with all of the facial expressions, which you don't get when the book is text-only.

This was a little like an after story; a continuation of Kou and Yoshioka but also showing the relationship between two other characters that had been a long time coming--I wish I could remember how to spell their names!

There were also two other chapters in here: one showing a pizza sharing scene between Kou and Yoshioka and one that showed Kou when he was younger during/after the divorce when he moved to Nagasaki.

Nice ending to the series. Recommend to people who like romances and comics/manga.

4.5 stars.

Admittedly I got a bit confused at times with not knowing what they were planning in the end, with the pushing of each other away and that last bit but hey ho, it all worked out in the end and they got their wish to kiss under the sun--which was so cute!!

Shortest manga series I've read so far but I really liked this one. Swordfish really grew on me. Sen was a little tougher for me to like but by the end... *sigh*

I'm happy for them.

I'd heard a lot of good things about Spy x Family, which is a new manga series. I gave the first volume a try, and was pleasantly surprised. It was very cute. The first volume focuses on how the three main characters come together, and how they begin the spy's mission, unbeknownst to the mother, who is actually an assassin. Since the adults don't know about each other's real professions, they are a little socially awkward while trying to appear as a real family. It makes for a cute first volume.

Live Die Repeat: Edge of Tomorrow (2014)
Live Die Repeat: Edge of Tomorrow (2014)

**Sidenote: Whenever Tom Cruise is in a movie with an interesting premise, I always weigh whether or not I want to spend 90+ minutes watching his acting. I'll never forget the couch-jumping crap on the Oprah Show, and it's all I think about when I see him.**
Edge of Tomorrow was initially the title of this film when it came out in theaters, and it's so bland, no wonder no one went to see it. I was glad when they released the movie on DVD/Blu Ray because they changed it to Live, Die, Repeat. I'm not sure why they didn't just keep the original title from the manga: All You Need is Kill (highly recommend the manga).
Tom Cruise works in this movie because his character is kind of a bumbling, self-absorbed idiot in the beginning. Aliens have invaded Earth and an attack on Normandy is launched. Cruise's character gets the power to relive each day to try to turn the tide. I don't want to give too much away as to how/why that power would exist, since it's part of the movie.
I loved Emily Blunt in the film, she was fierce and strong.
Overall, this movie was entertaining, and I can definitely re-watch this movie.

I usually find that Tom Cruise films would be a whole lot better if they didn't have Tom Cruise in them... that said, this is the best film he's done in quite a while.

The Chi's Sweet Home series is so cute! Part 4 of the complete manga series wraps up Chi's story. Chi learns what she actually is, and gets a chance to make an important decision. Chi stays innocent and naive throughout part 4, but begins to realize how parts of her life really are with the help of her good cat friends. She still has a long way to go, but she begins to learn how to be more of a cat. She gets closer to her cat friends, but also realizes how close she is to Yohei and her human family.

Corny Sci fi fun

The Guyver....based on a manga with the same same. The bio booster armor. This is nothing more than a B movie. Loosely based on the manga. The movie has it as creation of a corporation called Chronos. A researcher is killed and his daughter and boyfriend suspect he was murdered. CIA agent Max Reed (Mark Hamill) gets involved. The boyfriend finds the armor and that is where the fun begins. The CEO of Chronos Fulton Balcus, who is actually an alien himself, sends out his alien hordes to get the Guyver back. The Guyver attaches itself to Sean and he becomes a superpowered armored hero who now can match the aliens in combat. The dialogue and banter is really funny and corny at times. One of the voices for the aliens in non other than Jimmy Walker...you know JJ from Goodtimes. Sean is defeated the first time around by the alien foes, but with the kidnapping of his girlfriend and the death of Max( yes Mark Hamill dies😭) he gets it together and defeats the hordes of Balcus. Then he faces off against and defeats Balcus himself. All in all, this movie is fun. If you like sci fi action hero type movies, you will like The Guyver

The Matrix (1999)
The Matrix (1999)
1999 | Action, Sci-Fi
1999, the year that everybody expected Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace to be the best sci-fi movie.

It wasn't.

This was, instead.

Coming seemingly out of nowhere with an ingenious marketing campaign ("What is the Matrix?"), and with Keanu Reeve cementing his action man persona in lather and shades, this (I believe) was the first time that Western audiences was introduced to bullet time.

Very much Manga influenced ("I know Kung Fu"), and with a plot that owes more than a bit to Descartes philosophical "what is reality" question, this film soon launched a host of imitators and 2 not-as-good filmed back-to-back sequels.
