Wow! For such a short piece of writing, this one packs a punch!

Loose ends from A Dark and Twisted Tide are tied up, we get an insider peek at Joesbury's undercover world, and the Lacey/Mark drama is propelled massively forward.

The wait for the next installment is going to seem interminable!

It's taken me a long time to finish reading this but I'm not sure why because when I got into it at around the 40% mark I devoured it.

I enjoyed reading more of Kiera and Kellan, though their lack of trust in each other drove me a little potty at times. I've loved Kellan since early on in the first book and I still do, he's so sweet with her.

Looking forward to reading Reckless now

I can see why this was such a big film for the time it was made in '83. Very violent, gritty, some shocking scenes and tons of swearing. You can see how it has influenced countless other gangster films since. While it is very enjoyable and entertaining, I wouldn't quite rate it as a masterpiece. The plot is actually very basic and straight forward and it's predictable. Al pacino's performance is what this film is all about, that and the bench mark for every gangster film made since.

Good gory fictional historical events that could have been shorter.
Been looking forward to this one for a while. While I enjoyed the film overall. the story took too long to develop in some spots. Characters felt a little hollow and depended on the World War II setting to get the viewer to understand them. That being said, once the story hit its mark, the action was fast and furious. Some truly amazing visual effects. Not for the weak stomached in the least. A good, gory fictional take on historical events that could have been helped with shorter run time.

Felicity Huffman recommended Foxcatcher (2014) in Movies (curated)

Foxcatcher (2014)
Foxcatcher (2014)
2014 | Drama

"[Number] four is Foxcatcher. And again the two performances for me were — well, I guess the three performances — but one is the director. First of all, it was just so visually beautiful. And I felt like it was visually beautiful for a purpose, not just like, “Look at this lovely shot, and now we’ll get back to storytelling.” I mean every shot moved the story forward in some way, and yet was beautiful, or horrific. I thought Mark Ruffalo was just amazing, and Steve Carrell. So I watched it two or three times. I just thought it was just brilliant."

Uncharted, because no one knows where their going..
Uncharted is a live action take on the extremely popular video-game franchise of the same name.

Featuring a bunch of top Hollywood names both past and present, the first installment focuses on the fourth installment of the games and changes a lot of the original plot making for some very interesting possible sequels.

A lot of great action scenes and sequences and some light humour (although more humour was needed) and a straight forward plot made this a very enjoyable action adventure.

The duo of Mark whalberg as Victor sully and Tom Holland as Nathan drake is a very odd but fitting piece that seems to work naturally.

Did you know?

Mark whalberg was originally set to play Nathan drake before being bumped to play Victor sully so Tom Holland could play Nathan drake.

Nathan fillion was also poised to play Nathan drake as fans wanted it, although it didn't happen, fillion did make a short film where he played uncharted's protagonist.
(it's on YouTube).

-maybe we'll see MW play Nathan drake one day.

She doesn’t know anything about herself before the age of thirteen. Even the name she now answers to is not her own, but that isn’t the strangest thing about her.

Anne Smith was found on the steps of a homeless shelter with no memory of her life before that moment and a small tattoo-like mark in the center of her back that has grown and changed with each new moon. It’s been almost fifteen years, and the now the mark covers almost every inch of skin on her back.

With good reason, it’s impossible for her to let anyone in, to let anyone get close. Who would believe that her mark burns itself into her skin every twenty-eight days, leaving it larger than before? But, what if there was not only someone who believes her but has the answers to the questions that she desperately wants to ask? Would she finally be able to let people in?

The mark is almost complete. What will happen when there’s no more room left to grow?

Curse Marked is the first story in a medium-burn reverse harem series. Due to strong language and sexual situations, it is recommended for 18+.

I loved this book! I love the whole story! It's non stop action and so easy to follow and read in a good way. From Emelia finding her Uncle, his boyfriend to learning who she is and what she can do. Finding out her powers are so strong from the Dragon inside and the caster. I love her two mates although we hardly know Ronan yet I'm looking forward to getting to know him.
Finding her mother and the truth hoping she can form sort of relationship with her in future books.

Once again only four stars

This is only the 2nd out of five or six of the authors books that I've given four instead of five.

I loved young Louis and protective Josh, and Dallas, and seeing Trip and Luther and a few others from the authors previous books but once again something was missing for me.

Yet once again I can't quite pinpoint what it was. Maybe it was the slow burn that didn't really start to show into about the 40% mark, or maybe the fact that it didn't become truly a thing until long after that--about 70%. It wasn't obvious for a long time which guy Diana was going to end up with, which didn't help.

Nevertheless, I look forward to reading more of Mariana's books.

Though I'm giving The Redemption of Callie & Kayden 3 stars, I have to confess that it's a weak 3. Honestly, I debated for a long while about whether or not it should actually get a 2.5 rating. I was anxious to read another part of Callie's and Kayden's relationship, to see what awaits them in their lives. For the first half of the book, I was pretty into it, but I felt like things really slowed down around the 60% mark; I began speed reading and only slowing down when it came to the parts I was really looking forward to - which is why I decided to give 3 stars, because though I was slightly bored, I still cared enough to want to find out how everything would end (at least for this book).

As a long-term fan of the author's writing style, I was looking forward to reading a May-to-December story from her.

Whilst I adored Thomas himself, after all, what's not to like with a going silver fox professional who knows what he wants from life? I'm afraid Cooper just didn't quite hit the mark for me. Although he came across as mature at times, the majority of the time his cocky attitude annoyed me, and no, I couldn't get used to it (although Thomas managed to). I loved the world this book was set in, with the architectural references and the visual clues given. With so many things to love about this book, I'm sorry to give it a 3-star, but I just couldn't get to grips with Cooper. That's my issue, not the writing!

On the whole, another brilliant book by N.R. Walker, just one that didn't hit the mark for me. That doesn't mean I don't recommend it, because I do. You never know, you may find Cooper quirky and adorable!

* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. *
