A True Masterpiece
This is easily one of my favourite films. The CGI is INCREDIBLE for 2001. Absolutely beautiful. Storyline was fantastic, and no previous knowledge of Final Fantasy to enjoy it, I'd barely heard of Final Fantasy before this movie. Highly recommend to sci-fi and anime fans alike.

Best film of its year!!
Favorite movie of the year when this came out. Hugh Jackman at his finest. Terrific original choreography and soundtrack. This is a great movie for any age. Zendaya and Zac Afron's chemistry on screen was terrific. This movie was a spectacular masterpiece.

"A masterpiece of art direction and set design. No other film in history has ever quite captured the essential dry rot of the 1970s’ fourth-rate Mediterranean beach world. Having spent sixteen summers in areas near, but not quite in, low-rent Med tourist towns, it was a thrill ride straight back to childhood."

"“The first time I read this one, I was on tour in Australia. I had to hide in a hotel room for an hour to finish it. I was devastated, crying, the lot. It was one of the first novels by an African to be published in English, and it is a masterpiece. Breathtaking stuff.”"

"I think Pinocchio is Disney’s masterpiece, and I think that it’s such a perfectly put-together film. It has such a beautiful message in it, and so much thought went into it, and of course it’s beautifully drawn, and the colors are extraordinary, and I love Monstro, and the underwater sequences are quite something."

"Jean Renoir’s almost-lost piece of essential filmmaking is a tour de force of social debate, comedy, violence, and overindulgence. And that’s just how the characters behave. The filmmaking is crisp, smart, and quickly paced. Many films have come close, but, in my opinion, Renoir’s masterpiece is the finest cinematic example of class satire."

"Turgenev’s tenderness, this heartbreaking tale of two innocents crushed by the machinations of stupid, coarse characters, their inferiors in every way, is a masterpiece of evocation, both of the natural world, of a love extraordinary for its purity, alongside bitingly funny satiric characterization—all this create an atmosphere of sweet melancholy I find irresistible."
