Get a Move On, Neuron! by Philip R. Kennedy presents a basic description of brain function to young readers who enjoy science.

Throughout the book the reader goes on a tour of the brain learning about different brain functions. The reader learn about some interesting issues during the tour; such as, memory, self-awareness, and emotions. Each brief chapter ends with a series of questions that recap and review the material. I find the questions a bit distracting since the answers are not provided. The illustrations are nice and helpful. The illustrations are not overly busy, in fact, they help emphasize the topic being discussed. A friendly looking neuron is the "instructor".

Young readers who enjoy science will enjoy this book and will learn a lot of interesting brain facts from this book. This book could be used within the science classroom for going beyond the lesson when discussing brain function.

I give this book 3/5 stars being of the continual repetition which caused the book to come off as boring at times.

I received this book from Choice Publishing via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Much like Weir's first book, I absolutely devoured this one. I haven't read a book this fast in a while. His style of writing makes for easy and relatable reading and despite having a lot of scientific concepts it doesn't make the reader feel dumb, nor catered to. It's a style few seem to manage.

Jazz's inner monologues were interesting and funny. The only thing that bothered me sometimes was the repeated 'she's a total genius' moments all the way through. That gave it a bit of a YA novel vibe when they came up. Especially at one point where she monologues something about having an amazing memory. The comment just felt unnecessary and was just chucking it on the laundry list of feats she is capable of.

I see other reviews taking great umbrage with his portrayal of a female character but I didn't have any issues with that. Anyone expecting a woman to act or think in a certain way is missing the point a little bit. There is no one way for a woman to be. Everyone is different. This is Jazz Bashara.

Beautifully written
I read this a few years ago and really enjoyed it, and have read it again this week as I'm going to a charity ball themed around the book at the weekend and felt the need to refresh my memory.

This book is even better than I remembered. The description and detail that have gone into the writing are superb. The circus itself is the main character in this and the depth of writing is truly wonderful and magical, it really makes you feel like you're in a circus and definitely makes you wish you could visit a similar one in real life! Whilst the characters themselves take a back seat to the actual circus, they're still well written and aside from a few, are all endearing characters. The plot itself is not quite what you'd expect and I feel like the only issues with this book are the slightly lacklustre ending and the constant jump in time periods that can get a little confusing. Aside from this though, I could not put this book down. It's hugely enjoyable and entertaining, and definitely worth a read.

It’s been almost ten years since Nathan Garrett woke on a cold warehouse floor with nothing but a gun, a sword, and no idea of who he was or how he got there. His only clue … a piece of paper with his name on it. Since then, he’s discovered he’s a powerful sorcerer and has used his abilities to work as a thief for hire. But he’s never stopped hunting for his true identity, and those who erased his memory have never stopped hunting for him. When the barrier ...

Absolutely brilliant!
I will admit my usual books tend to have women as female leads! This was totally refreshing and did remind me a bit of Dresden. Following Nate through his self discovery was fascinating and I found the book hard to put down. It's non stop action with so many interesting turns. Love how Steve uses characters we have all heard of from past history whether they are fictional or real and tales we all grew up with then twists them to fit his writing. So looking forward to reading more in the series. Would definitely recommend.

Memento- is a fantasic, phenomal film. It has twist, turns, suspense, mystery, drama, romance, you name it memento has.

Memento came out in 2000 and was christohper nolan's second film he directed. This film really put nolan on the map of best directors.

The plot: Leonard (Guy Pearce) is tracking down the man who raped and murdered his wife. The difficulty, however, of locating his wife's killer is compounded by the fact that he suffers from a rare, untreatable form of memory loss. Although he can recall details of life before his accident, Leonard cannot remember what happened fifteen minutes ago, where he's going, or why.

The 90% of the movie is backwards. Meaning the end is the beginning and the beginning is the end. Their are scenes where its in black and white, i think those sences are in the present. You will be confused the first time and probley the second time you watch it. But after the threed or fourth time you understand, but still have questions.

This is one of my all time favorite movies. Its in my top ten best movies of all time.

Memento is a must see film.

This is a fantastic film. I have an option to watch this in chronological order, but I don't think it has as much impact as watching it in the order intended.
