starwarsluvr (236 KP) rated Rage in Books

hmm... ok what to say. so much of this book was confusing to me. The storyline I enjoyed but felt like I was missing pieces. The characters were good. . And the plot was very interesting. I am left with questions though so overall it's worth a shot to try it and see what you think. The writing was very good

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2346 KP) rated 7th Heaven (Women's Murder Club, #7) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
The two cases the women's murder club takes on this time include home fire murders and a missing Politian's son. One of the cases was well plotted and fun, while the other fizzled out before an improbable and unsupported end.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2346 KP) rated Artifacts (Faye Longchamp, #1) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Missing students and an unexpected skull at a dig sight kick off this archaeology themed mystery series. The characters are good, but there were too many plot threads early on and it felt like it took a while to really come together.

Dean (6927 KP) rated Jonah Hex (2010) in Movies
Feb 17, 2018
Hmm not heard of the character before? This just seemed like a comic book western for me with a quirky supernatural element. It has a good cast and while not being a bad film, it does feel like there is something missing? It could have been a lot better. It's very short and simple and has some ok action scenes, that's about it.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2346 KP) rated Thugs and Kisses (An Odelia Grey Mystery, #3) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Odelia is attending her high school reunion when the class jerk keels over dead. Then her boss goes missing. Can Odelia solve these two mysteries? The book was lots of fun, and the two stories definitely kept things moving forward.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2346 KP) rated The Call of the Mild (Psych, #3) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Shawn and Gus are hired to find a missing necklace. But after they are robbed and their client murdered, they realize something bigger must be going on. The book was fun, but takes too many wild turns, leaving the book feeling unfocused.

Andy K (10823 KP) rated Sleepaway Camp (1983) in Movies
Jul 23, 2018
The ending!
Another routine 80's slasher film maybe in the vein of Michael Myers or maybe more like Jason Voorhees. Seems very low budget as things start to go wrong and people start coming up missing.
The ending is worth the price of admission for sure. You never would have seen that one coming!
Gotta watch it!

Clever thriller done thru the internet didn't think I was gonna like this film at first but I did there's plenty of twists and turns and red herrings if u spot them. John cho plays the frantic father as he searchers for his missing daughter thru his computer u feel for his agony wondering if she's alive or dead thumbs up

Sarah Betts (103 KP) rated Happy Hour of the Damned (Amanda Feral, #1) in Books
Dec 30, 2019
Imagine a Mean Girl growing into a Mean Woman. Then, imagine this Mean Woman turning into a zombie. That's Amanda Feral. This book is hilarious, disgusting, and adorably snotty.
Amanda's friend goes missing so she teams up with her zombie friend Wendy to track her down. This book provides one of the, uh, most interesting depictions of burlesque I've ever read.

Peter G. (247 KP) rated The Other Guys (2010) in Movies

It's a very unlikely pairing that works really well.
Ferrell is back to his funny self here which has been missing of late, I'm looking at you Sherlock Holmes...
Forced to work together they are hilarious and with Cameos from The Rock and Sam Jackson this was a comedy that somehow made it under the radar...I'm a peacock and I gotta fly..
