The action was exciting and fight scenes were intense.
Too many characters at one time and really not enough time to explore their backstories or give them equal screen time. (0 more)
Good movie
The movie was good and I did really enjoy it. It seemed to be missing something and I’m not sure what. I don’t know if something got lost with a different director taking over to finish it up when the original director had to leave for family reasons. But there just wasnt an element there that could have been. There wasn’t enough character building before they all are together and fighting Steppenwolf.

Really really enjoyable film
As much as a star wars fan i am, as much as i really enjoyed the film, its still missing something. As much as it is like Empire Strikes Back it still offers more. The new characters are starting to move the film away from the original cast and will eventually take over from them, but they all still have alot to learn.
Long story short, great to watch, still alot like Empire Strikes and the new films are going in the right direction ????

WHat and Ugly MotherF*****
Good selection of cast members in this Sci-Fi action movie. We find a elite mercanary team headed by Schwarzenegger called in to recover a group of commandos gone missing. Little do they know that a space alien who is hell bent on collection the skelletons of the kills he gets has been sent to earth to do just that. The movie is full of action and suspense. My only downside to the entire movie is the choice of Carl Weathers. He dosen't do the job I hoped he would do however he gets killed in the end so there.

Slightly overhyped with massive plot gaps
I had read a great number of reviews about this eccentric book, but perhaps it was a little too quirky for my liking. There are major similarities with Chuck Palahniuk in terms of the exaggerated style of writing and general shock factor, unfortunately it did not seem to deliver. The characters were undeveloped and there seem to be a lot of loose ends at the end of the book such as what actually happened to B and C? While I can understand the moralistic nature of the story, attacking the usage of food as a means to control people, there seemed to be something missing.

A nice message but gets lost in confusion
The best part of this read was the author's afterword explaining how she wanted to highlight the stigma of mental health. Unfortunately it's hard to decipher that clearly in the book with a few wishy washy themes of religion and racism, and a heavy focus on gossipping neighbours.

The 10-year-old protagonist and her friend Tilly are heroes attempting to sleuth their way into finding the missing Mrs Creasey and as much as I wanted the entire book to be from their perspective, we were lost in the haze of irritating adults. A nice idea but not quite there.

Even this film was OTT
What was the point of Chris Hemsworth?
Nostalgic at the same time completely novel
It's like Bridesmaids mixed together with the original Ghostbusters. The wit and humour was completely innovative, not even comparable to the original which was excellent, however, the fact that the original four were super clumsy with their weapons was part of the charm - totally missed in this where they seem to be martial art masters after several attempts. The cameos were brilliant, only missing Harold Ramis. Enjoyable but not on the same level by far.

Not just for kids!
I'm not interested in the first 2 films, but having kids I've been subjected to watch them. So when they realised the 3rd film was out, obviously we had to go and watch it instantly. But OMG how good?! From start to finish it had such an easy story line to follow. Its got so many life lessons in, such as losing a parent, people having limbs missing, forming friendships and relationships. It's got such a lovely ending. I cried. But then I love a good ending so?‍♀️ but honestly if you like I feel good cartoon it's worth the wTch

I’m slowly working through the Peter Grant series. I found this on easier to follow than previous ones.
At first it is just a story of two missing girls and PC Grant is there to make up the numbers. It does become apparent that there is a supernatural element when unicorns are mentioned!!
I enjoyed the story but I don’t know why there was such an emphasis on the fact that all the people in the Herefordshire village were white. I know Peter is black but I was expecting from the constant reference, for there to be some racial issues. These never materialised so the whole issue was totally irrelevant.

Lee sits in on a library board meeting, but the missing member is found murdered at the bottom of the basement stairs. The woman was quiet, and everyone seemed to like her. So why was she murdered?

These books are always light and fun, and this is no exception. I do wish we'd see more of the sizeable collection of supporting characters, but Lee is always a fun host to a fast paced puzzle that will leave you drooling for chocolate and the next book.
