"Tragic, funny, bleak and wonderful. Costume dramas have no business being this entertaining. Everything Mr. Lanthimos directs is a must-see. This might also be my favorite film of the year."

The mystery felt forced into the story, but the characters were wonderful with lots of laughs.

"Hitchcock’s great mystery includes a wonderful character called Mr. Memory, not present in the novel by John Buchan. He was based on a drop-out know-it-all autodidact named W.J.M. Bottle, who was billed in vaudeville as Datas, The Memory Man."

The way they bought the original in through music memories. In general the acting was good. Some wonderful cinematography too. (0 more)
Mr lamplighter (sorry don't know his name) ruined the whole film for me. Found him annoying and unbelievable from the start. Also have issues with Mary Poppins doing a raunchy number - just not right. (0 more)
A little disappointed.

Lots of humour, good down to earth talking, great recollections (0 more)
Wonderful Insight
When you think of Liverpool FC through the years you think of people like Bill Shankly, Bob Paisley, Joe Fagan, Roy Evans etc. This book tells the brilliant life story of the man who was there through it all. From player to physio, from coach to manager its all there. With contributions from such legends as Kenny Dalglish, Alan Hansen, Jamie Carragher and Steven Gerrard this epitomises what Liverpool FC is about and its told with a lot of humour and recollection. With wonderful insights from his son Paul as well this is the complete story of Ronnie Moran 'Bugsy' 'Mr Liverpool'. A wonderful read :)

This was such a wonderful book! So many great lessons running through through the whole thing about friendship, family, & the impact the choices you make have. Yet it had blood & suspense but humor too. I can't wait to see how this series continues, if it does. Mr. Beatty you have some big shoes to fill to live up to this first installment!

"I adore this book. In my youth I identified with shy Mole. Now that I’m older, I’ve grown more like Mr. Toad. Larger than life. Rushing around in his car, wreaking havoc. At SMU, Candace Birk directed a wonderful production, and I got to play Mole. I created a voice that sounded as if his nose was stuffed up from digging his tunnels underground."

Wonderful, heartwarming movie
Just finished watching and had to write a review. This was so beautifully done. It was about the man who interviewed Mr.Rodgers for a magazine article and the lessons he learned from him. Tom Hanks was amazing as Mr. Rodgers. It also made me remember my childhood and the things I loved about Mr.Rodgers. I had a tough time as a kid, i had seizures and kids made fun of me. I remember Mr. Rodgers having children on the show with disabilities and it made me not feel alone. I really loved this movie. It had a good lesson to it too.

I will confess that it's been quite some time since I read a middle grade/young adult book, but perusing my children's family night book fair, I came across this book. I read the back of it and noticed one thing. Biltmore. Living in North Carolina, a few hours away from the Biltmore, I thought it would be the perfect dive back into the wonderful world of innocence and fun. I wasn't wrong!

Serafina and The Black Cloak is a wonderful start to Mr. Beatty's Serafina series. I read this in two sittings and loved every minute of this read! Serafina's character is wonderful and I loved following her along the halls of the Biltmore Estate. The story is filled with just the right amount of kid-friendly mystery and is perfect for those curious minds that love to seek out clues and solve the puzzle.
Serafina's search for answers on the disappearances within the walls of the magnificently built estate, and the lovely story line, Mr. Beatty has just become my favorite author for books like this. I am already looking forward to reading book 2, Serafina and the Twisted Staff. If it's anything like this book, it will be just as captivating and filled with tremendous doses  of 5 star worthy moments! Fantastically done, Mr. Beatty. Fantastically done. <a href="http://cafinatedreads.com/review-serafina-and-the-black-cloak-by-robert-beatty/"; target="_blank">This review was originally posted on Cafinated Reads</a>

I didn't enjoy this quite as much as the first, The Color of Magic, due to a slow start. After I got into it though, it was quite fun and enjoyable. :) I love the world Mr. Pratchett has invented, and his humor, characters, and way he writes are all wonderful!

I totally enjoyed this more this time around. I was in a totally different headspace back in 2009, plus this just hit my mood perfectly at this time.
