A complaint about a bad shuttle driver leads to a kidnapping and possible murder. Meanwhile, FBI agent Christopher Miller is called back to the field for a robbery that is more than it appears. Yes, these two plots cross, and the suspense keeps the pages turning. However, I found the language and gore in the book to be too much for my tastes.

The Women's Murder Club only takes on two cases this time around. First, there are the skulls found in an actor's garden. Then there's the man killing drug dealers. I was actually surprised to find that the ladies worked together to solve one of these cases, which hasn't happened for a while. In the end, it's a Patterson book, but it was fun.

A romantic weekend on an island in Maine is anything but for Meg and Michael when they find her family already at the family cabin. That's before a hurricane arrives and strands them with an island packed with birders and a killer. While this book still has the humor of the first in the series, it also features a stronger mystery.

Artificial Intelligence Personality Turing Hopper is excited to finally have a clue to the location of a criminal she needs to track down. However, her PI friend Tim gets accused of a murder when he goes to investigate. The characters are still very real, both human and AIP, and the plot is fast moving. Just read the series in order.

Hannah's back and this time baking cupcakes to celebrate the grand reopening of a local hotel turned condos. But when a woman falls from the penthouse during the party, Hannah begins to investigate. Those who love the series will enjoy the latest entry. It's the usual mix of baking and murder and even wraps up some loose ends from the last book.

A trip through the cold case files leads Dr. Mark Sloan to think that a copy cat serial killer is out there. Is he right, or is he going to get himself and son Steve in big trouble? Any fan of the show will love this book. The mystery is great and all the main characters (including Jack) are in top form.

Gerry Porter is looking forward to seeing her family for Christmas. But soon that takes a back seat when a friend at the retirement home goes missing, only to reappear as the prime suspect in a murder. Can Gerry clear her name? The pacing was uneven, but I just love Gerry, her family, and the small town she lives in.

Living legend Polly Pepper joins her fellow cast members from her TV show on a cruise to relive their glory days. However, the first night out, one of the co-stars is murdered. This is the fourth in the series, and the characters were still over the top fun, however the plot was very easy to figure out.
