Top Gun with Helicopters
Known as Wings of the Apache in the UK. This is basically Top Gun with the Apache gunship helicopter...I didn't even realize at the time Nicholas Cage and Tommy Lee Jones were in this! Must have have been a long time ago when I saw it, but it has some great action scenes. Well worth checking out!

Typical Bank Heist
Nicholas Cage plays an American cop who inadvertently gets involved in a group of ex-military soldiers who are robbing a bank in order to get $1 million dollars. Add into the mix a young black student who has to accompany both Cage and his Son-in-Law as a punishment and throw in explosions and random killings and you get a fair idea what sort of ilm this is. Its worth watching if you just want an action bank heist movie, but if you are looking for something to keep you excited and on the edge of your seat, this is not it .

Brian A. Metcalf certainly has a look to his films and that goes for the direction as well, I really enjoy his style of shooting and what he brings out of the cast and in particular, when Metcalf and Nicholas work together in productions they produce something worth watching and Adverse is no exception. There are some great moments from cinematographer Derrick Cohan, look out for a scene on the rooftop at night it looks fantastic.

Adverse is a film that has some excellent surprises throughout the film, it can be emotional at times with some of the flashbacks and brutal at others with some of the action sequences that aren’t afraid to throw some of the red stuff about. This is certainly a film worth checking out.
