Twin Tales is a book about twins that are alike and different. Children all want to feel special. Even twins have their personalities. Parents sometimes dress their children the same and do not allow their children to be themselves.

This book explains it to show that twins can be alike in many ways but also very different. Each person should get to know each one, and then you will be able to tell a twin apart. I have grown up with twins. I could tell them apart, but my mom could not even remember who was who.

I knew what this book was trying to do. It is trying to explain that all identical twins and fraternal twins will like the same things. That's okay. The pictures are lovely. The author did a fantastic job showing that twins can be alike with some things but can be very different. They still will get along. Twins are just like any other children.

Children will enjoy this book and learn about twins. If you are a twin, then this book is made for you. The picture book is suitable for all children. Parents and children can learn and teach each other while reading this book. Children can learn from each other as well and read this book together as well. It's okay to be different from your twin.

Are you looking for a book that will help you introduce your child or children to Potty training? I know some parents seem to struggle with this sometimes. Well, "Potty-Training Day" by Akilah Trainay and Ziana T. Washington seems like a good book to have on your child or your bookshelves.

This book seems to introduce your child to the potty and how it works. Those children or your child may or may not be ready. It tells that sometimes the child or children are prepared at their own pace. There are some ideas in this book that you may use with your child or children.

It shows the feeling of a child or parents with potty training. It is an excellent book to introduce to your child or children when you think they are ready to go from diapers to big girls. The pictures remain done well. I enjoyed them. This book does help with ways to deal with potty training but does not try and force it on them. Introduce it to them and keep at it but try to be patient with your child or children.

Children and Toddlers learn at different times. This book is an excellent addition to your child's bookshelves when it comes to potty training. Some perfect phrases are in the book to use or evening trying singing to help your child or children to go. But do not expect them to do it the first time. They may be scared. Try again later or another day. A book for parents to read as well. Good to add as a baby shower gift, or later down the road for the child or children.

Fight to Learn by Laura Scandiffio brings interest and excitement to going to school. While most people have heard of Malala, they may not have heard of all of the great people in Scandiffio's book: people helping to change education for poverty-stricken Indians and Roma, Pakistanis denied an education because of their gender, children ripped away from schools becoming soldiers, and separate, but not equal, schools on First Nation land.

Liked that the book was divided into different challenges children face rather than by geography. It even included an example in the U.S. I also liked that the book highlighted the people, many of whom are children, who are finding solutions to this issue.

A fantastic resource for older students.

I received an ARC copy from Annick Press via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review

Book Favorite

"It is the most enchanting book. And it’s such a brilliant idea: children born at the same hour who metaphorically encompass all the good and evil attributes of a new society. Rushdie writes with a true patriotism—a love for his country that’s not blind."

This wasn't anything spectacular but my son enjoyed it, and that's what counts 😅

A few giggles along the way but mainly for the children!
It's silly, goofy and cute but not a film I think either of us are bothered about watching again.

I enjoy dolphins. I was happy to watch this movie on netflix. It was done okay. Though it seems to be a story about a daughter and a father. I do not know what the plot is really about. It was fair movie in that case.

Though there seems to be part of the dolphin what they can teach us in their ways. The cast was good. I would watch with children. There a little drinking and I would only allow children around 13 with this movie. Other then that it find. Teenagers around 13 an up is good for this movie. I would let parents decide for their children.

Careful and considered approach to aid in children’s mental health
We are constantly being told that mental health is a common occurrence for school age children and worryingly this is becoming an increasing issue for those at Primary age.

When Daniel approached me and asked if I would review his book, I was all ready to say no, not because I wasn’t interested, but more because I would not usually review books for Primary ages as my children are now adults and thankfully haven’t made me a grandmother yet! I am really not ready to be called Grandma, Nan or Nanna!

However, out of consideration to Daniel, I took a look at the synopsis and realised that the subject matter of his book resonated with me as one of my children has had and continues to have mental health issues of varying degrees although thankfully not to a detrimental effect.

This was honestly a beautiful little story and an equally beautifully illustrated book. Daniel takes a very careful and considered approach to explaining to children how to cope when our minds are drowned out by bad thoughts and feelings.
One could argue that this same approach could be used in equal measures for adults too, as lets face it we all struggle mentally at some point.

My only criticism is that I thought there were some lengthy words for the very young but that is counterbalanced by the illustrations and it is a book that you would read together as a family to aid in opening honest discussions so if necessary, a parent, guardian or carer could use easier words in place of, to avoid having to explain the meaning.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone with children, grandchildren, nieces or nephews and to anyone who works with children.

I loved this film, really really enjoyed it. It's visually stunning, the plot is really good and the script and acting are both very good. However I felt it would not have been suitable for younger children, anyone under 7.
