I am by no means new to Angela Strong's books, but I was as delighted with this novel as I was with her very first book that I read! I have missed her work and was so pleased to get back to her unique writing style and the way she quickly and wholly captures the reader. From start to finish I was hooked on this novel of hurt, laughter, anger and understanding. This book is filled with all of that and so much more.

This 5 star book has beautiful characters. I loved Gen's timidness when it came to opening her heart to love. Matt's character both infuriated me and wrapped me up to love him. He's perfectly flawed for this novel and and though at times I wanted to whack him upside the head, his feelings for Gen and acceptace of change overcame it all and I fell hard for him. The messages that are woven into the story for these beautiful characters are tremendously done, and I loved finding love in this sweet town with these perfectly chiseled characters. Bravo, Angela! You've once again made given me all the feels of a perfectly written novel!

The title of this is what drew me. Sleeping Giants? Sounds right up my alley. It has been a long time since I read a sci-fi novel that wasn't heavy on the romance/erotica also. However, this novel was captivating. I know there are novels out there told through interviews and the like but I have never read them before. Therefore, it was something new and different. I honestly felt I would have enjoyed the novel more if it had been written more traditionally. That doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it. As someone who loves to thoroughly research things, I almost felt that I was the narrator going through all the relevant information I have collected to put the story together. It was appealing.

Style aside, it also has an interesting plot. Giant robots and recovered technologies are nothing new, but the author weaves a stories that grabs your attention and keeps you turning each page. I was hooked until the very last page. In fact, once I finished, I sat in a daze wrapping my mind around everything I had just taken in.

If the description interests you, I highly recommend that you read this novel. I understand it is not expected to be published until April 2016. It is definitely worth the wait.

Did I miss something? Was there suppose to be a plot line somewhere? You think I would have learned my lesson by now in that Aphrodisia never publishes anything that isn't sex for the sake of sex. Every Aphrodisia novel I have ever read, has had a complete lack of thought or plot line.

This novel consists of four different stories, each dealing with one of the four brothers and them finding their mates. While each brother's story was different and they each had various sexual tastes, the overall novel was kind of boring. The brothers all blended together and lacked individual personalities outside of the bedroom.

I felt like Danes gave us bits and pieces of what could have been a plot line, but she was more focused on the couples hooking up than formulating an actual plot. I wish I could say that the erotic scenes made up for the rest of the novel, but in all honesty, I have read much better. I do give Danes credit for giving each brother completely unique stories from each other. It's what actually kept me reading. I was curious to see each brother find his mate and how he planned on pleasing her. I have to say Devon's story was by far the best and worth reading.

I read this novel after reading another title by the same author called Amber Fire. Even though both stories are shorter (<100 pages), that the writing in Night Sins felt more skilled and refined. The author said a lot with a little and set the tone for the rest of the novel within the first few pages.

There is a little blurb in the beginning describing Watchers, and it threw me off. The blurb makes the Watchers out to be more than the author made the heroine out to be. I got the feeling the Watchers were suppose to be powerful female defenders, yet right off the bat, I felt the heroine needed protecting. I am not sure if this was intentional for the purpose of adding that element to the hero and heroine’s dynamic.

Unlike the other novel I read, I felt that this heroine was stubborn. While I enjoyed the story overall, I felt it was the stereotypical story of a powerful male vampire protecting his intended mate. The alpha vampire and “one true mate” tropes really don’t do it for me, but I found the novel an enjoyable quick read filled with steamy scenes. While the story was nothing new, it’s been awhile since I have read a vampire romance, and I liked it.

I received this Graphic Novel from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I have been meaning to read Anne of Green Gables for years upon years. About a month ago I picked up the audiobook and decided to listen/read it. I really enjoyed the story. It was so beautiful in it's simplicity. When I saw there was a graphic novel on netgalley, I immediately had to download it and read it.

The artwork in this book is spectacular. It's beautifully done and just transports you to the lake of shining waters and makes you feel almost as if you're there with Anne enjoying the day. I loved how simplistic the story was and how placing into a graphic novel just seemed to work. The artwork is simplistic yet complex in its variety of colors and beauty.

With reading the book just a few weeks ago, I did notice a bit of the story missing or redone which is completely understandable. You can't fit everything in all the time. I mention this solely for those kids who might decide to read this instead of the book for school.

All in all, this graphic novel expertly shows you the simplicity of the story and enhances it with the beautiful artwork. If you love Anne of Green Gables, I highly recommend taking a look at this. It's spectacular!
