Weird Chapter Setup
A Chilling Spectacle
This novel is truly something to behold, tackling the hard subject of technology, this novel takes place in a future where only a select group of people have agreed to live within a 24/7 virtual reality while the rest of the world has expunged all invasive technology, right down to the motion sensors that open doors at the supermarket.
It is within this universe that the novels chooses to display both the pros and cons of technological advancement as well as warns against advancing too far to the point where humanity becomes lost.
Although the chapters are set up weird, split from chapters into sections that seem unnecessarily placed, this seems to be a technical problem rather than a problem with the actual story. The story itself is both well organized and well written, building beautiful images of this world as well as developing characters as the story advances. Personally, I feel the ending seemed a bit rushed however qhether this was due to the actual writing or the fact that I couldn't put the book down is yet to be decided.

And their existence in the modern world hangs on the outcome of the war.
The best was saved till last! I’ve loved this series well what’s not to love it has Dragons!! The journey these characters have been on has been a rollercoaster of joy, devastation and excitement. This book was no different the loss of characters was felt by all as well as the joy of reuniting with friends that we thought were lost for good. Definitely recommend if you love dragons and magic.

Post Apocalypse without zombies and gangs
Where do I start on this game?
When I first saw it was announced, I was hyped. Then my hype died upon seeing gameplay and as time went by. I eventually decided I was going to take a risk and play it upon release. The next 3 days I was nowhere to be found as I put 50 hours into the game. Its so easy to fall in love with the characters and become invested in the story while still getting happily lost in the vast open world of post-apocalyptic Utah.
Even when you finish the main game, there are very likely plenty of side missions (many of which are unique in their own right) to complete. I first discovered an enemy AFTER I'd beaten the main game and had to figure out which method of attack would be best to tackle the beast. There is so much variety in your attacks from tying enemies down and running at them with your spear to tearblasting their armor off and hitting some carefully placed precision arrows. My favorite takedown is shooting the blaze canisters on enemies' bodies with fire arrows and watching as they detonate with a big kaboom.
I had to really think about what would keep this game from being a 10/10 and I realized that there are some enemies that just got on the nerves. Oftentimes Glinthawks would never come near the group and would constantly be moving, shooting ice at you. I had to learn through a mission a good way into the game that Glinthawks are susceptible to fire which will knock them down pretty quickly for some spear attacks. Also, the wonderful Ashley Burch's voice would often sound much differently than it would if they went by the mouth movements that Aloy made.

It's so much more the alien movie.
Such a unique take on a genre that needed something original.
District 9 is one of the most original alien "invasion" movies out there. It was a serious breath of fresh air in a genre that tends to be so very cliche and repetitive. Don't get me wrong I love alien movies but you can only watch people get chased around and abducted so many times before you crave something different.
And at it's heart District 9 is so much more then just an alien movie it is a movie about immigrant and refugees and how the world tends to treat them.
My favorite part of the movie is the part that most people hated and that is the ending. I usually HATE open-ended ending but with District 9 I felt like it fit the movie so well that I couldn't be mad about it.

Nothing but the truth
After having read Matt Haig's previous book Reasons to Stay Alive, this was a future recommendation to try and considering the current climate in the world right now, it seemed like a wise choice!
This is definitely very relevant to today's society and it really is fascinating. Nothing Haig says in this is particularly surprising - it's all really just plain and simple common sense - and this is my sole criticism. However it's well written, engaging and full of interesting and intriguing facts. It really is the truth about modern society and it's all rather scary. And worst of all its depressing how true this is. This is a wonderfully straight and open commentary on modern life and it's refreshing to read something so brutally honest.
This has definitely made me think again about all of my social media usage and reading news apps. It really isnt helpful for your mental health!

A fun free to play open world gacha game. The nice thing is you don't have to spend money in the game if you don't want to. It gives you a lot of freedom to explore and earn the in-game currency by doing daily quests and the main story quests. You can also play mutliplayer with your friends and it is cross platform so everyone can play together no matter what they play the game on. The story isn't anything complicated. It's simple and easy to follow, but it is a good story and it's fun just exploring everywhere. The only drawback is the higher endgame level grinding in the game gets to be a bit of a chore with limited resources that take a long time to regenerate. Other than that, the game is great and offers a lot of things to do with the main story, side quests, and events. This is a beautifully told story that built a really interesting, new world with fantastical creatures and blood magic. I did feel a bit lost for about the first half of the book, as I worked out how things worked in this new society. Ordinarily, this wouldn't have bothered me, but so much depends on the way in which this society functions - the expectations of those with magic in their blood, and the restrictions that these expectations bring. I persevered and I'm glad that I did, because once the action gets going and things become clearer, it was actually a good read. It's a book that requires a fair bit of work, and I don't know as there's many readers who would commit that time. This book promises so much, but I think that it fails to deliver.
It appears to be left open for a follow up, but I don't think I will be reading it.

The story starts off interesting and I do like Sam Witwer as Deacon. He does a great job with the voice acting for him. The combat is fun and brings some intense fights. Traveling in the open world of Oregon is cool and there's some very pretty vistas while riding on the motorcycle. Sometimes the inventory controls feel very clunky, but I made it work. The accessibility isn't bad and I appreciated that they included that. Some of the side missions felt a bit tedious and I wish I could have learned more about certain characters in the different camps. There are two chapters that I feel could have been cut from the game because they didn't really offer a lot to the main story. Very much a film of two halves, this starts with an intriguing question: the volcano on the Dinosaur's island is about to blow, so what do you do?
Do you save the 'de-extinct' Dinosaurs (who are only 'alive' because of man's intervention, or is this nature's way of course-correcting (as Jeff Goldblum's Dr Ian Malcolm puts it).
With the government falling in with Dr Malcolm's Point of view, (Bryce Dallas Howard's) Dr Claire Dearing (now a Dinosaur's Rights activist, following the events of Jurassic World) and (Chris Pratt's) Dinosaur behaviorologist Owen Grady find themselves back on the island to rescue as many of the Dinosaurs as they can.
And that's the first half of the movie.
The second half then turns into - effectively - a haunted house story as (of course) the Dinosaurs break out of containment in the Lockwood estate for story reasons (which I'm not going into here), before the film ends with the (metaphorical) gates to the Park now wide open.

This was a decent read with a very different approach to heaven and hell and all it’s demons. Are the gifted teenagers really gifted?? I did enjoy it.
