Normally, some novels start out slow and get better and more engaging from there. Unfortunately, with this book, it went the other way around. While the beginning was thrilling and gripping, the plot became progressively more disjointed and the dialogue was soap opera-like. The premise, however, is relevant and interesting.
David McK (3251 KP) rated Rendezvous with Rama - Rama Book 1 in Books

Not the worst book I've ever read, but not the best either.
Early sci-fi (as opposed to space opera), suffering a bit from the inadequacies of that genre in that sometimes one-dimensional characters are suddenly introduced simply to move the plot along, then seem forgotten about once that event is resolved.

David McK (3251 KP) rated Deathstalker (Deathstalker, #1) in Books

Not so much science fiction as it is science fantasy, this novel pretty much proves the old matra that you can't judge a cover by it's (in this case, dodgy) cover. Not the best book I've ever read, not even the best by Simon Green, but still worth a look if you like space opera.
Leslye Headland recommended Harlots - Season 2 in TV (curated)
Auburn (57 KP) rated Hello, I Love You in Books

If you are looking for a KDrama mixed with a Hallmark movie and a soap opera then you have stumbled upon the correct book.
While I do warn of a trigger warning for suicide this book is so adorably written. The main characters have such darkness and reflect what you would normally find in a Korean Drama or Soap Opera that you can't help but think what this would look like as one. The love story unfolds just as it would in the show, adorable, awkward, and takes forever.
If you are looking for a sweet read I do not know if this is for you. There are a lot of dark parts and unhappiness but it does end in a HEA.

Still got it
Still one of the greatest comedy creations. How Michael Crawford went from the bumbling Frank Spencer to The Phantom of the Opera is anyone's guess; but watch this if you can and enjoy some of the best physical comedy since the silent movies of Keaton and LLoyd
