ODESZA have created an energetic and slick EDM album that offers something new and original in a very crowded scene. However, by cramming so many songs onto the album, the quality inevitably begins to dip

Pointless update
The original is a great action / thriller and while this isn't a straight re-make scene for scene it does keep a lot of the key plotlines from the original. Overall it was just average with some good extreme sports scenes but the plot was just a bit silly at times.

To be honest I prefer the sequel to the original I know same plot as the original but with new twists namely time travel and parallel universes. And the return of tree reliving the same day again as it didn't do so well probaly no sequel but I still liked it

Better than the original
How to top the original? Go bigger, bolder and ask more grown up questions. This does it all and throws in Wonder Woman herself (well her voice at least). Personally thought it was better than the first, and that doesnt happen to often

Nice too see Dee wallce stone back as she was in the original film in my opinion the real star of the film is Bianca the female crite who steals the show from her male counterparts maybe I will bgo back and watch the original again sometime

Shovels & Rope-Cover Songs
I don't usually like cover songs. I feel that if you are going to do a cover of someone's song, you should make it 'your own'. I love that Shovels & Rope made each track unique and had so many great singers help them out.

My favorite track is 'Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain'. I heard this song when I asked my Amazon Alexa to shuffle songs by Shovels & Rope. I put the song on repeat and purchased the album without hearing any of the other songs and I picked up Busted Jukebox Volume 1, as well. I'm a fan of Shovels & Rope and was surprised that I hadn't heard of these albums.

Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain, is a Willie Nelson song and this version, featuring John Moreland, is absolutely beautiful. My father, a Willie Nelson fan would have approved of this version. It's a song that makes it very hard to hold back the tears. If I'm being honest, I haven't been able to that, yet.

The most surprising track is Epic, a Faith No More song. It is so different from the original and I really like the different flow that Lera Lynn gave it. The song in it's cover form has given a slightly different meaning to the lyrics. The original was powerful and in your face while this version is powerful and haunting.

I am so happy that I stumbled upon this and I can't wait to see what this amazing duo will bring us next!

Filmmakers add so much it changes the concept of the story
Good if you don't know the source material or the original film.
The keys to a good remake are to not forget the original or the source material, update the story, and hold true to the values of the predecessors. While this remake captures the basic outline of King's novel and the original movie, it also makes several changes. Firstly, it adds several twists to the original plot line, which are excusable to keep viewers guessing and to separate the movie from the original. What frustrates, however, is that the filmmakers added so much. These additions skewed the very deep and visceral meanings and themes of King's book and the original movie. Rather than being a horror-filled contemplation on the complexity of loss and grief, it settled on jump scares, gore, and the creepiness of violent kids and animals. The characters are skeletal at best with no real depth or development in the film. In 2019, when you try to remake things, they have to be great. While this was a decent film if you ignore the book and the previous film, this effort fell far short of anything near great.
