Sarah (7800 KP) rated Blair Witch (2016) in Movies

Totally unnecessary sequel
The original Blair Witch film was a little overrated but fairly original and not entirely bad. Sadly this sequel doesn't even match this standard and really didn't need to be made. The plot starts off fairly irrationally with the main character believing that his sister (from the first film) is still alive 17 years later... and it doesn't get much better from there. The real scares are virtually non-existent and it just gets very stupid with lots of silly loud noises. Character development is lacking and the whole film is very underwhelming. Yet another below average found footage film.

Once it gets you, you're doomed.
It has a little something for everyone and very easy to use between multiple devices. Content selection and the variety of genres already explored with the original shows/movies is wonderful. There should be some better ways of informing users what content is leaving month to month. Only other trouble is finding the time to watch all the those additions to My List!

Great mix of the original and the new
Good and gory!!
This was a cracking film! I thought it would be a cheese-fest, and to some degree it is. I loved how the zombie storyline was merged with the original novel, and I, probably annoyingly, kept telling my husband when they had lifted dialogue from the book. I liked that touch very much. And there are some absolutely cracking actors in this film! I was very surprised to see Charles Dance (and also rather pleased. He could talk to/ at me all day!).

Actors fit the characters well
Devilishly Angelic
I was a little nervous about this one as the book it's based on is one of my all time favourite reads. However, I was very pleasantly surprised with this mini series, of course this is down to Neil Gaiman being involved in the whole project meaning that it remained true to the original material. The actors were well chosen and the young cast portraying Adam and his friends were a true pleasure to watch. All in all a great weekend watch that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Erika (17789 KP) rated the PlayStation 4 version of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy in Video Games
Jun 4, 2019
Crash Bandicoot was one of my favorite games to play on the original PS, so it was on my list to get as soon as I got a PS4.
The game is definitely as fun and goofy as I remember. Though, I can't remember how to beat some of the random obstacles. It seems more difficult, but I don't spend that much time playing video games anymore in general, so I think I may just be out of practice. The enhanced graphics also look amazing.
If you liked playing Crash on the original PS, this is definitely a must-have.

Awix (3310 KP) rated Blade II (2002) in Movies
Feb 20, 2018
Del Toro's intense action-horror-superhero thrash surpasses the original and slips the hospital pass to every subsequent instalment or spin-off. Terrifying mutant vampires appear, preying on the original kind; the vampire establishment is obliged to recruit Blade to help eliminate the new menace. Tensions inevitably ensue between Blade and his new allies...
Top cast includes various cult action stars, but the success of the film is down to the director's ability to give it both energy and atmosphere by the bucketload. Grips and entertains from start to finish; everything you want from this kind of film.

Mythology
One of my top 10
This novel was one of the most original works I have read. It combines mythology from all over the world into an epic journey within the dirty underside of the melting pot that is America. The main characters are well fleshed out. An interesting aspect of the book is the “coming to America” chapters that give the backstory on how the old gods in the novel came to be in America. This novel definitely focuses more on the journey to get to the climax rather than the climax itself.
Leah (: (569 KP) rated Fame (Keatyn Chronicles book 8) in Books

This book picks up exactly where the last one ended and tells the story of the characters from the original series about 10 years later.
It is told through a multiple perspective so we get to know a lot of the original characters very well and see if their dreams of the future came true and how they ended up where they are today.
There are a few new characters and some characters from before become a lot more important.
A great way to continue the series but you do need to have read the previous books.

Average action film
Decided to give this a go although surprised at there being another MIB film. It's a fairly fun action film, not a serious film by any means. The scenes in London were quite good but overall the story is rather weak. It's not as funny as the original films and misses the chemistry of those films. On the other hand it's mildly entertaining for a light hearted action film. If you were a big fan of the original films you'll be disappointed though.
Gitchegumi (28 KP) rated Cards Against Humanity in Tabletop Games

The original edgy humor game.
Cards Against Humanity is the original game of edgy humor. You need to be with the right group of friends for this one though, as it can get pretty offensive. If you have ever been asked to remove yourself from a game of Apples to Apples, this is your kind of game. CAH is definitely NOT kid friendly, but it is a great game to enjoy someone laughs with a group of like minded (read depraved) friends.
