The Breakdown felt like something a little different; something that stands out in the genre. It really gripped me, leaving me completely absorbed in the story and not wanting it to end! A definite recommendation

Wanted on Voyage by George Ezra
Wanted on Voyage by George Ezra

Requiring menace from an album that references the label on Paddington's suitcase is probably asking a bit much. But it's this darkish side that keeps you listening past the blithe singalongs.

A-bit-of-something-for-everyone troll-rock collage. I truly began to pity those of you who believe Muse are some po-faced band. You have my condolences because The 2nd Law is seriously fun. Seriously!

War for the Planet of the Apes (2017)
2017 | Action, Sci-Fi
War Of The Planet Of The Apes” is exceptional. Ultimately, for all the combat, the film is really about the battle for Caesar’s soul and whether he’ll be blinded by bloodlust or find his humanity.

It was love from the first sentence. I will now be seeking out more of Backman's writing, the style is just so darn readable. It is snarky, and funny, and heartwarming, and heartbreaking.

Girls Trip (2017)
Girls Trip (2017)
2017 | Comedy, Drama
In spite of the hardships the girlfriends face, the underlying humor and overall ratchetness throughout the trip keeps the audience in stitches almost every other moment of the film

Death Note (2017)

While it certainly seems to skip over some of the more interesting story arcs to focus on the central plot, the finished feature does get from beginning to end without really falling over along the way

It’s a harmless record that doesn’t quite demand a second listen, which in itself demands a second glance as to why safety was chosen over vulnerability and innovation for this record.

Home Again (2017)
Home Again (2017)
2017 | Comedy, Drama, Romance
Home Again prospers from a talented cast and a serviceable performance by Witherspoon, but the aggressive blandness that lays within the screenplay of first-time director Hallie Meyers-Shyer makes this romantic comedy nothing past Hallmark quality.
