Movie Critics (823 KP) rated Life (2017) in Movies
Jun 19, 2017
Life is a solid and enjoyable sci-fi flick. It's certainly not going to be a classic that will be remembered in years to come but it's definitely entertaining. The visuals are strong - both for the look of space and the realisation of Calvin the alien.

I enjoyed the claustrophobic setting of the ISS and how the meek and mild specimen turns 'Life' isn't a bed of roses for Jake. on its hosts. The editing and music are riveting and will keep viewers on the edge of their seats.

BookCritics (259 KP) rated Dragon Teeth in Books
Jun 21, 2017
you still shouldn’t go into this expecting an epic adventure with the level of research and detail on par with the author’s more famous novels that he wrote in life, but as far as posthumously released publications go, this one was pretty damn decent.

Movie Critics (823 KP) rated Moonlight (2016) in Movies
Jun 22, 2017
Watching a film where you don’t really know the actors as they act out this piece of drama for me made me feel more real. I didn’t see them as actors; I only saw them as people in a real life biopic, that for me is key

Movie Critics (823 KP) rated Transformers: The Last Knight (2017) in Movies
Jun 23, 2017
it's a significant improvement over the previous sequels it still isn't very exciting or captivating. It's never boring which pretty much sums up the last film. I kind of liked the first film but it doesn't hold a candle to the animated movie.

Movie Critics (823 KP) rated Annabelle: Creation (2017) in Movies
Jun 23, 2017
If Annabelle: Creation is to be remembered for anything, chances are it will be the expository role it plays in the Conjuring universe rather than any actual contributions it makes to the horror genre.

BookCritics (259 KP) rated Down Among The Sticks And Bones in Books
Jun 26, 2017
I feel like this book is so important. This book is for everyone who has ever felt stunted and trapped by the role they’ve been relegated to, and for every person who has ever been disappointed in another individual for refusing to play by the rules

MusicCritics (472 KP) rated Divide by Ed Sheeran in Music
Jun 27, 2017
For me, the album springs to life on the more sharply observational Shape of You, and especially New Man, the latter riven with caustic jealousy. Sheeran is such an upbeat character, maybe it takes adversity to really get him going.

MusicCritics (472 KP) rated Perfect Contradiction by Paloma Faith in Music
Jun 28, 2017
It does leave you wanting more and expecting more from Paloma’s next album. The musicality is evident, the big voice is there and the songwriting is coming along nicely. Paloma Faith has the potential to be one of the biggest pop stars in the world

Movie Critics (823 KP) rated The House (2017) in Movies
Jun 29, 2017
Nothing truly classic happening here in The House, but in a year that has been deathly for worthwhile comedies, this is an easy kill for a dependable number of laughs.
