All The Wounds in Shadows The Healings Edge book 2 by Anise Eden

Four Stars

I knew I would read the second book. I will say that I enjoyed this second book more than the first. Cate is doing better I feel and is taking life slow with Ben. It was still slow but I liked they direction the author went. This was a different view of Paranormal and the author makes you take note on how everything doesn’t have to be hot and heavy. But you get those moments were its really intense and the pressure for more is on. I wasn’t a big fan of the first book but this one had me understanding the first book more. The characters interacted really well together. There were a lot of different personalities in the mix and the author did a great job making sure no one was overshadowed or ran on in their moments. I look forward to book three and all the surprises the author has waiting for us.

Fast Paced Dragon Shifter
This is the first book I have read by Chloe Cole. It's been sitting on my kindle for quite some time so when I was looking for a good paranormal shifter book, I figured this one would do. I wasn't expecting much but I have to say I was impressed.

Chloe Cole was able to create a world that kept me entertained. I enjoyed the characters and the plot line was fun. I was a little nervous with the title Coercion but I was happy to see that this didn't turn into a darker story. The plot moved steadily and the characters experienced an instant love type story. At times, I found myself annoyed but all in all I did enjoy the plot. I do wish that we saw more growth in the characters though.

Ultimately, it kept me entertained and it was a nice, quick read. I would give it 3 1/2 stars so I'm giving it 4 because I always round up.

A mission that haunts him, a little girl who needs him, and a stranger who won’t leave him alone.

Existing isn’t living, but for Ezra Havlin, existing is enough. Once a member of Para-Force, Ezra was in the midst of the action, adventure around every corner as the paranormal special ops team protected those unable to protect themselves. That is, until one mission went sideways, and a child in his custody was murdered.

On the outskirts of Bull Creek, Josh Rayburn discovers a hermit living off the bare necessities of life, if that could be called living. Now, Josh is determined to bring this sullen hermit into the Bull Creek family whether the man wants it or not.

However, for Ezra, the past returns with a gut punch when members of the Para-Force team arrives with another case and another child. Can Josh convince Ezra that people are a vital part of the Bear Necessities of life in time to save the little girl’s life?

Good twist at the end (0 more)
Little boring (0 more)
I did enjoy this book. I like crime novels and was not aware this was paranormal as well but it did all make sense and tie in at the end.
Once I started reading I couldn't out the book down - I read it in a day.
The story flowed well and it was interesting to find out the back ground of each character. I did like the twist at the end when the newspaper cut outs and reports were found. It really tied everything together.
I couldn't connect with the characters but that could be because some of them weren't around long and others I just didn't feel anything for. I didn't care what happened to each character and/or when it happened.
The story reminded me of the Saw films. They were more about a game and torture which I don't like so the book was better.
The book was very well put together.
I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author via Voracious Readers Only.
