Despite her intension to leave Paris for America, Ophelia Flax finds herself going to the country estate of her soon to be ex-fiancée to join a hunting party. But a broken down coach brings strangers into the mix, and the next morning one of them is dead. The locals are blaming it on the legend of an ancient beast, but Ophelia thinks poison was involved. Can she figure out whose heart is beastly enough to be a killer?

This is such a great book! The author weaves in elements of “Beauty and the Beast” and plays with it as a real legend while presenting a puzzling mystery filled with real characters and viable suspects. Everything kept me guessing until the great climax, and the way this book leaves things, I hope we get more soon.

NOTE: I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Cousins Vivian and Scarlett are in Paris, Vivian to teach a hat making class, and Scarlett to track down Vivian’s husband, Will. That search actually goes fairly quickly, but Vivian and Will have hardly reunited when he is kidnapped. Now Scarlett has to track him down again. But what is happening?

I hadn’t realized how much I missed Jenn’s writing until I started this book and fell under her spell once again. It engages us from the very beginning, but things really pick up once Will is kidnapped and the real complications start happening. One aspect of the plot isn’t explained, but it is easy to surmise what happened. We meet some fun new characters, but the series regulars manage to find their way over as the book progresses, and they are a delight as always.

NOTE: I received a copy of this book from the publisher.

Seventeen days to fall in love. To give your everything to one person and hope for forever. Morgan is spoiled but not in the traditional way. Her mother wants nothing to do with her. She just wants her to stay out the light and press. She has no father either. So after a trip to Paris where she ends up in jail. She has been sent to live with her aunt.
Harrison is pretty awesome. Morgan has been through so much and yet she keeps moving. Nothing prepared her for Harrison and definitely wasn’t ready for his love or the consequences of that love. Harrison has overcome hardships and is a great catch for any girl. The love is instant and some what believable but I enjoyed it anyway.
This is a great book for an debut. I was amazed at home put together it was. No grammatical errors that I noticed. The plot and character growth were great. I can’t wait to see what she has in story for us next.
