Gripping from start to finish
I was absolutely hooked by this psychological thriller. A lot of twists and turns, you delve into the mind of an alcoholic, and even feel like you experience the same nerve wracking incidents in which nothing is fluid. The characters were believable, with both good and bad sides highlighted. Nothing is what it seems. A well-constructed book.

The situations and attitudes that arise in this book are all too believable which make this a brilliant and horrible book to read.

Slow and a little tedious

This psychological thriller began with tinges of a David Lynch film, and finished with an inconclusive, fluffy conclusion. The lack of connected thoughts and plot made it difficult to concentrate - it makes some sense as it is supposed to be a reflection of the protagonist's mental state - however it was not well executed.

It's starting to get a little predictable with the abusive spouse story - this kind of storyline definitely needs a revamp. The performance was fine but the thriller was a little too drab.

Flimsy story, almost comedic
While this story was extremely engaging for its genre and content, it started off with the mystery of a psychological thriller and ended up becoming like a 1970's hammer horror. It couldn't hold itself in the end and the description of the "thing" reminded me of a Sam Raimi style boring gorefest. A bit of a disappointment after 14 hours of listening.

This House Isnt a Home
You Should Have Left- is a really good psychological thriller. Yes its about a normal house that isnt a normal house. From the outside its a normal house, but once inside its different.

The plot: Strange events plague a couple and their young daughter when they rent a secluded countryside house that has a dark past.

I do recordmend watching it.
