Cleo's mother is coming home!

She couldn't be more excited about it but upon her arrival, Cleo learns this isn't the mother she remembers.

Are they too different to get along now?

Like with the other diaries in this series there's a big focus on family and friends. Learning how to navigate and balance relationships.

Cleo is really known for putting on a confident mask-she is the school's queen bee- but reading this book you really get inside her head and see what goes on in there.

Again, zero complaints about this book!

Edit: actually, I disliked that this marked the end of the OG Monster High

After reading Interview with a Vampire over ten years ago, honestly, the last person I wanted to read a book about was that a**hole, Lestat. So, I put off reading it.

Well, I decided to try it, via audiobook, and Lestat is WAY more interesting than that whiny little b**** Louis. First, Simon Vance is an amazing narrator, and I highly recommend the audiobook.

Lestat's story is detailed and fascinating, starting out before he became a vampire, up to modern times, his rock-star period. Lestat is intelligent (majority of the time), a bit arrogant, and drama queen extreme. I loved every second of it.

American Idiot by Green Day
American Idiot by Green Day
2004 | Alternative, Punk
Rolling Stone's 225th greatest album of all time
For some reason I wasn't looking forward to listening to this. It became cool to hate Green Day not long after this album and I haven't tried much of their subsequent material, despite being a massive fan when Insomniac and Nimrod came out. This album was a very pleasant trip down memory lane. When September Ends isn't great but the sprawling Jesus of Suburbia and Homecoming are rock operas to rival Queen and Meatloaf. There are enough stomping diet punk anthems to satisfy their fans plus enough masterful songwriting in those songs to please any rock fan.
