This isn't my usual type of read, I like happy romance-y books, but every so often I like to read something different.

This was a lot darker than the description on the back made out:

Claudia is heavily pregnant with a much-wanted baby, she has a loving husband and a beautiful home.
And then Zoe steps into her life.
Zoe has come to help Claudia when her baby arrives. But there's somthing about Zoe that Claudia doesn't like.
And when she finds Zoe in her bedroom, Claudia's anxiety turns to real fear.

I just thought she'd worm her way into the family and steal them. That sort of thing. Not the gruesomeness in places--well, place--that it was.

Nevertheless I did enjoy it in the end, what with it all pointing at one person but things seeming a little dodgy about someone else.

"True Romance would definitely be in my top five. I particularly loved Patricia Arquette in True Romance. I loved how delicate she is but also how down she is in the fight scene in that film — it’s by far one of my favorite fight scenes ever. It’s just so real. I loved that hotel fight scene. And of course I loved the dialogue. I loved how you could just get so attached to the characters. That’s kind of like a fairytale for me: to think that two people could meet like that and be completely, you know — just 100 per cent have each other’s back, instead of all the bullshit we go through in everyday life. Two people that just fell in love, and their dedication to each other — that really comes through in the film. And I think the whole story, and the dialogue, is just really cool."

I love Alessandra Torre. I haven't read anything by her that I haven't immediately fallen in love with; Tight is another book of hers, albiet different, that I really enjoyed. She stresses in the begnning that it's very different than her other books and, honestly, it wasn't nearly as dark as I've seen some stories go, so nothing bothered me about it. I was intruiged about the "banned book" she based Tight from, though. I'm not scared of reading the same stories where the relationship between the kidnapped and kidnapper becomes romanticized - I've read several and, while I realize that isn't real life, I enjoy them. While Alessandra's book isn't that, I still loved it. There were so many questions and assumptions, twists and surprises. I was shocked by a lot of the revelations in this book and I love that. Alessandra Torre can do no wrong in my eyes!

I can't believe I'm saying this, but this is the first time I've ever seen Hercules. I've heard amazing things about it, I've listened to the soundtrack, but it was never one I wanted to see as a kid. I was all about the princesses and if we're being honest, that hasn't changed much. The music in this film is already top-notch, but then to see the film and watch it come to life? Incredible.

I think Meg is my favorite character. She feels the most real and the most diverse. I think she is the most rounded out character in this film. Not that the others aren't great, it just feels like you can relate to her in some way or another and that's why I love her so much.

I really enjoyed watching this film and I'm sure I'll find my way back to it again.
